If, mixed with danger, the precept of near use is given by the nuns, then eat alone in the house of relatives, and do not doubt this. In times of famine, it is permitted. If it is not so, do not stay. If you stay without a famine occurring, it will be with transgression. The seventh verse of the Four Doors Sutra from the section on matters. In short, there are two kinds of borrowing. There are also three kinds of cloth. There is also the desire to buy, and there is also the state of being gathered together. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was staying in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti. A certain monk borrowed a karshapana from a householder, and after a certain time had passed, the monk died. The householder heard that the monk had died. Having heard that the monk had died, the householder went to the monastery and knowingly asked the monks, 'Where is the monk who is called Venerable?' They said, 'The good one has passed away.' 'The Venerable borrowed a karshapana from me.' 'The good one has been taken to the charnel ground, go there and search.' 'Venerable, if you divide his alms bowl and robes, how can I go to the charnel ground and search?' They said, 'Please give it.' The monks reported this to the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan said, 'Monks, the householder has spoken well, the monks should repay what he borrowed from his wealth.' They did not know from where to repay, the Bhagavan said, 'Repay from his alms bowl and robes.' Those monks repaid the alms bowl and robes, but they did not want the alms bowl and robes, the Bhagavan said, 'Sell them and repay.' The monks repaid all of them. The Bhagavan said, 'Repay as much as was taken, and divide the remainder.' While staying in Shravasti, another monk borrowed a karshapana from a householder, and after a certain time had passed, the monk

Then, as before, he sold the bowl and Dharma garment and gave it to him. The householder said: "Venerable, only seek this much from me. Do not give me any more than this. Give me more." When such a thing happened, the monks reported it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said: "He only has his bowl and Dharma garment, nothing else. Close the door. If you do not believe it, then inquire. Even if you inquire and it is not possible, then do not give him the property of the Sangha or another person. Let those who are wise inquire and then release him." The origin of the story is in Shravasti. A monk took a cloth from a cloth seller without paying for it. Later, that monk passed away. When the owner of the cloth heard that the monk had passed away, he came to the monastery and knowingly asked the monks: "Venerable, where is the monk named so-and-so?" They replied: "Venerable, he has passed away. That venerable one took a cloth from me, promising to pay for it. That venerable one has been taken to the charnel ground for cremation. Go there and look for it." "If you have divided that venerable one's Dharma garment and bowl, why should I go to the charnel ground to search? Just give it to me." When such a thing happened, the monks reported it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said: "Monks, what this cloth seller says is true. Give it to him." The monks gave him that cloth. He said: "Venerables, he promised to give me this much value." The Blessed One said: "Sell that and give it to him." The monks began to sell it, but they did not get the previous value. The Blessed One said: "Sell the remaining Dharma garment and bowl and give it to him." The origin of the story is in Shravasti. A monk gave thread and wages to a weaver to weave cloth. Later, that monk passed away. The monks called the weaver and said: "Venerable, a monk named so-and-so gave you thread and wages to weave cloth. Please return it." He
