The Blessed One said: There is no fault. A monk recited the mudra mantra of the palm, smeared it with his hand, and clapped his palm once, and that person died. The monks felt remorse. The Blessed One said: There is no fault, but be careful and pay attention when clapping your palms. A monk was choking and about to die, and another monk punched him once, and the choked thing came out with blood, and that monk died. The monk felt remorse. The Blessed One said: There is no offense of defeat for the father. In any case, be careful, and if the choking comes out, but it does not lead to death, then strike like that. In short: the second seat and the second father, and also the second abandoned one, and like a monkey, and threatening thieves. The venerable Black Hair sat on the seat without examining it, as explained in detail in the Vibhanga. The fat joyful woman should also be applied in the same way. A monk killed a person with a stone, as explained in the Vibhanga. An elderly father and son monk were together going from Jeta Grove to the village of the monastery. The father said to the son: Here there are leopards, it is dangerous, let's stay inside. The son said to the father: Old man, if we stay with laypeople now, what is the difference between us and them? Son, be quiet, I am going to sleep. Then the old monk fell asleep, and that monk also fell asleep. The old monk snored, and the sound attracted a leopard, which grabbed his head. He made a sound, and the leopard released him and ran away. That monk lit a torch and examined him, and found that he had died. He thought: He said earlier to stay inside, but I did not listen to him, and as a result, he died.

All those were thought to be my fault. That monk felt remorse. The Blessed One declared: There is no fault, be at ease! If a monk, with the intention to kill, sends another monk to a place filled with fear, and he dies as a result, then he will commit a Parajika offense. If he does not die as a result, then he will commit a Sanghavasesa offense. The Blessed One was residing in the city of Vaisali, and the monks would go into the great forest during the day to wander. There, a monk killed a monkey, and another monk said that you have committed a Parajika offense. For what thing is the life of a human being taken away, and what is the difference between a human being and something similar to a human being? That monk felt remorse. The Blessed One declared: There is no Parajika offense, he will commit a Dukkhata offense. Threatening thieves is also as it appears in the extensive Vinaya. In short, Head, the former doctor, obstructed and died, the dwelling in the city of Vaisali, obstruction, cutting off, and running. In Sravasti, another householder had a baby boy who grew up, and because he burned bricks with his head, everyone called him Head. At some point, he became a monk and entered a village for some matter. Another householder's wife also followed behind him with a boy, and she also looked left and right as she walked. A ram butted him, and the monk also lowered his head and walked, so she thought he had hit her, and the ram hit him. The monk fell on the boy, and the boy died. The monk felt remorse. The Blessed One declared: There is no offense, monks should not walk like that, but look at the road like a yoke. Previously, another person who had become a monk from being a doctor came to a sick monk, and he said to give him a bloodletting. He also gave him an injection, and after the needle was pulled out, the monk died. The monk felt remorse. The Blessed One declared: There is no offense, from now on monks should not practice medicine without having studied.

Do not investigate. A sick monk, not having recovered, thought: By what means can I live, I will die. Then, the monk said to the attendant: Please give me a rope. He gave it to him, and he was strangled, and he passed away. The monk felt remorse. The Blessed One said: There is no fault. Monks should not casually give ropes to the sick. A monk was begging for alms, and the people living in the city of Vaisali came with bows and arrows in their hands, and the monk said: Good people, do not kill me, shoot this one. He shot an arrow and killed him there. The monk felt remorse. The Blessed One said: There is no fault. Monks should not command in that way. Another sick monk also, like the previous one, took a rope and went to the great forest, and there he climbed a tree and tied himself with the rope, and put his neck in the noose, and jumped. The rope broke, and there was a puppy underneath, and the monk fell on it, and the dog and its child died. The monks heard about it and reported it in detail to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said: The former monk is at fault, but the latter is not. Monks should not do this with their bodies, for if they do, there will be a grave offense. Another monk had something to do in the village, and he took a monk who had not long recovered from illness and went. On the way, he was afraid of robbers, and he said to him: Venerable one, go quickly. He said: I cannot. The monk said: Come, sister. Thus he took him, and when he brought him to the village, he died. He thought: If I had not brought this monk, he would not have died. The monk felt remorse. The Blessed One said: There is no fault. From now on, monks should not take such weak patients on the road. In short, proclaiming the thought of bliss, and the Arhat Brahmin.
