That monk became upright, and that monk felt remorse. The Blessed One instructed, "There is no offense, do not do evil with your body in that way." A sick monk was sitting on a mat, and his attendant said, "Long-lived one, get up." He said, "Do not lift me up, I will die." But the attendant still said, "Long-lived one, get up." When he got up, he died. That monk felt remorse, and the Blessed One instructed, "There is no Parajika offense, but a gross offense will be committed." If a monk beats a madman with the intention to kill, if he dies, he will commit a Parajika offense. If he does not die, he will commit a gross offense. In short: many items and indigestion, blindness in both eyes and non-food, medicine and good food, conduct, there is no offense, and others can be added. A monk was afflicted with a long illness, and his attendant was tired of him, and said to him, "You will die soon, I will not attend to you anymore." He did not attend to him, and that monk died.
