Giving, once given, if not given to others, it is given according to the Dharma, received according to the Dharma. It is permissible to use it properly. Monks, the king has dominion over the land. The master has dominion over the bed. The monk has dominion over the alms bowl and the Dharma robe. Making offerings, and the master of offerings, has no reason to alter the Dharma objects that he has given and give them to others. Why is that? Monks, giving is a prior action, a later action is not. Therefore, give the monastery back to the one who holds the sound. Monks, if someone gives a gift to another, that is also given to another, unless there is such a cause, it will become past. Monks, also give the monastery back to the venerable holder of sound. This is the Vinaya Dharma, the thirty-second volume. The origin of the story is in Shravasti, where the Blessed One said to hold the temple festival and the great festival for the fifth and sixth years, and the Brahmins and householders also did so. There, monks living in various places also gathered, and Brahmins and faithful householders gave them much food, and after eating a little, they gave the rest to the novices. Those novices also gave the same food to the monks the next day, and those monks asked the novices, where did your food come from? They said, it is the same food that you gave us yesterday. The monks said, we gave it to you. Then they hesitated and refused to accept it. The monks told this to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said, if one gives with expectation and eats again with expectation, then they are at fault when they give, and they commit a downfall if they eat. If one gives with expectation and eats again without expectation, then they are at fault when they give, but there is no fault if they eat. If one gives without expectation and eats with expectation, then there is no fault when they give, but they commit a downfall if they eat. If one gives without expectation,

If they eat without permission, there is no fault when they are given, and there is no fault when they eat. The tenth verse of the first chapter of the Discourse on Matters is completed, and the first chapter is completed. The second chapter of the Discourse on Matters is explained. In brief: admonition and re-admonition, and also not spreading out, giving training and doing work, being patient and expelling, being equal to the Dharma, cutting off by cutting off the wall, the second chapter of the collected sutras. In short, admonition, asking and answering, the monk who has passed away, if there is a dispute in Shravasti, two sanghas and Dharma robes. When the Buddha, the Bhagavan, was in Shravasti, he was staying in Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. In Shravasti, there was another householder who took a wife from the same clan, and he enjoyed playing and rejoicing with her. As he played and rejoiced, his wife became pregnant, and after eight or nine months, she gave birth to a son. For twenty-one days, they held a grand celebration of the birth, and they named him according to custom. Later, he became ordained in the teachings of the Bhagavan. Later, he was struck by illness and passed away. The monks threw his bowl and Dharma robes together in the cemetery. Brahmins and householders who happened to pass by saw the discarded items, and they whispered to each other, saying, 'Alas, we householders, living at home, accumulate wealth by various means, yet we do not discard utensils and clothes. These Shakyaputra practitioners, crossing a hundred thresholds, laboriously beg for food, why do they discard bowls and Dharma robes?' At that time, the monks also came from in front of them, and they said to the monks, 'Noble ones, we householders, living at home, accumulate wealth by various means, yet we do not discard utensils and clothes. You cross a hundred thresholds, laboriously beg for food, why do you discard bowls and Dharma robes?'
