་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །དད་པ་ བྱིན་ན་རུང་སྟེ། དེ་སྟེ་ཤིང་ལ་གནས་པ་དག་གིས་གྲངས་སུ་བསྐངས་ལ་ས་ལ་གནས་པ་རྣམས་ལས་དད་པ་ཡང་བླངས་པར་གྱུར་པའོ། །བཙུན་པ་ཤིང་ལ་གནས་པ་དག་གིས་རྩིག་པ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །དེ་སྟེ་ཤིང་ལ་གནས་པ་དག་གིས་གྲངས་སུ་བསྐངས་ལ་ས་ལ་གནས་པའི་རྣམས་ལས་དད་པ་ཡང་བླངས་པར་གྱུར་ནའོ། །བཙུན་པ་ཤིང་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་གིས་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །བཙུན་པ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་གིས་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །བཙུན་པ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་གིས་ས་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །བཙུན་པ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་གིས་རྩིག་པ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་་་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །བཙུན་པ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་གིས་ཤིང་ལ་མཆིས་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཨུ་པཱ་ལིས་ཞུས་པ། བཙུན་པ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་འདུལ་བ་འདིའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ལས་ལས་བརྒྱ་རྩ་གཅིག་ཏུ་གསུངས་པ། བཙུན་པ་ལས་བརྒྱ་རྩ་གཅིག་པ་དེའི་ནང་ནས་ལས་དུས་ན་དད་པ་དང་བཅས་པར་འགྱུར། དུས་ན་དད་པ་མ་མཆིས་པར་འགྱུར། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱང་དད་པ་དང་བཅས་པ་སྟེ། མཚམས་བཅད་པ་ནི་མ་གཏོགས་སོ། །བཙུན་པ་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་ལམ་སྒྱུ་མས་མཚམས་དགུམ་དུ་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་སྟེ། དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་དང་སྒྱུ་མ་ལ་ནི་ཐ་སྙད་དུ་གདགས་པ་མེད་དོ། །བཙུན་པ་གཟའ་དང་། འོད་ཟེར་དང་། ཉི་མ་དང་། ཟླ་བ་དང་། སྐར་མ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མཚམས་དགུམ་དུ་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་སྟེ། དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་གཟའ་དང་། འོད་ཟེར་དང་། ཉི་མ་དང་། ཟླ་བ་དང་། སྐར་མ་རྣམས་མི་བརྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ། །བཙུན་པ་ཆུ་རླབས་ཀྱིས་མཚམས་དགུམ་དུ་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མི་རུང་སྟེ། དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་ཆུ་རླབས་ནི་མི་བརྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ། །སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཨུ་པཱ་ལིས་ཞུས་པ། བཙུན་པ་ཡོངས་སུ་དག་པ་ལེན་པའི་དགེ་སློང་གིས་ཡོངས་སུ་དག་པ་བླངས་ནས་སྟེང་གི་ནམ་མཁའ་ལས་མཆིས་ན་དེས་ཡོངས་སུ་དག་པ་བླངས་པ་ཞེས་བགྱིའམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མ་བླངས་པ་སྟེ། གདོད་བླང་དགོས་སོ། །བཙུན་པ་ལས་བགྱིད་པ་གཅིག་གིས་ལས་ཀྱི་ཚིག་ཀྱང་གཅིག་གསོལ་བ་ཡང་གཅིག་གིས་གནས་བཞིར་སྡེ་བཞི་ལ་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་རུང་སྟེ། དེ་སྟེ་གནས་བཞིར་དགེ་སློང་གསུམ་གསུམ་གནས་ལ། གསོལ་བ་དང་ལས་ཀྱང་མངོན་དུ་གྱུར་ཅིང་དེར་གསོལ་བར་བྱེད་པའི་དགེ་སློང་གིས་གནས་བཞིའི་མཚམས་སུ་སབ་མོའམ། རེ་ལྡེའམ། ཁྲིའམ། གཞན་དག་ཀྱང་རུང་། དེས་མནན་ཏེ་དེའི་སྟེང་དུ་འདུག་ནས་ལས་བྱའོ། །ལས་བྱེད་པ་དེ་ཉིད་དེ་དག་གི་གྲངས་སུ་སྐོང་བའོ། །བཙུན་པ་དགེ་སློང་གཅིག་གིས་གནས་གཅིག་ཏུ་མཆིས་ལ་གནས་བཞིར་ལས་བགྱིར་རུང་ངམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་རུང་སྟེ། དེ་ཡང་གནས་བཞིར་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ། བསྡིགས་པའི་ལས་དང་། སྨད་པ་དང་། བསྐྲད་པ་དང་། སླར་བསྡུམ་པ་དང་། མ་མཐོང་བའི་ཕྱིར་སྤང་བ་དང་། སླར་ལས་མི་བྱེད་པས་སྤང་བའི་ལས་དང་། སྡིག་པ་ལ་ལྟ་བ་སླར་མ་བཏང་བས་སྤང་བའི་ལས་དང་། ཆད་པའི་ལས་དེ་རྣམས་ལ་མངོན་དུ་གནས་པར་གྱུར་ལ། ལས་བྱེད་པའི་དགེ་སློང་གིས་གནས་བཞིའི་མཚམས་སབ་མོའམ་རེ་ལྡེས་མནན་ཏེ་འདུག་པའོ། །གླེང་གཞིའི་སྒོ་དང་པོའི་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ལྔ་པའོ།། །།མདོར་ན། ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་ལས་འདས་པ་དང་། །ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་ཡང་རི་ཡི་སྟེང་། །དགེ་འདུན་བྱེ་བ་སྐྱ་རེངས་དང་། ། མཚམས་ཀྱི་ནང་དུ་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས། །སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མཉན་དུ་ཡོད་པ་ན་ཛེ་ཏའི་ཚལ་མགོན་མེད་ཟས་སྦྱིན་གྱི་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་ན་བཞུགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཨུ་པཱ་ལིས་ཞུས་པ། བཙུན་པ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་མཚམས་ཆེན་པོ་ཆོད་ཅིག་ཅེས་གསུངས་ན། བཙུན་པ་མཚམས་ཆེན་པོ་དེའི་ཚད་ཇི་ཙམ་ལགས། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་དཔག་ཚད་ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་མོ། །བཙུན་པ་ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་ཕན་ཆད་ཀྱང་མཚམས་ཞེས་བགྱིའམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ། དཔག་ཚད་ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་ཚུན་ཆད་མཚམས་སོ། །བཙུན་པ་འོག་གི་ཁམས་ཀྱི་མཚམས་གང་ལགས། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་ཇི་ཙམ་ཆུ་ལ་ཐུག་པར་གྱུར་པའི་བར་དུའོ། །བཙུན་པ་དཔག་ཚད་ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་ལས་འདས་ཏེ། ཆུ་ལ་ཐུག་པར་གྱུར་ན་ཅི་དེ་ཡང་མཚམས་ཞེས་བགྱིའམ། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་མ་ཡིན་ནོ། །དཔག་ཚད་ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་ཚུན་ཆད་ནི་མཚམས་ཡིན་གྱི། དེ་ཕན་ཆད་ནི་མཚམས་མ་ཡིན་ནོ། །བཙུན་པ་སྟེང་གི་ཁམས་སུ་མཚམས་གང་ལགས། ཨུ་པཱ་ལི་ཇི་ཙམ་ཤིང་གི་རྩེ་མོའམ་རྩིག་པའི་སྟེང་ལ་ཐུག་པར་གྱུར་པའི་བར་དུའོ། །བཙུན་པ་དཔག་ཚད་ཕྱེད་དང་གསུམ་ཕན་ཆད་ཀྱི་ཤིང་གི་རྩེ་མོའམ། རྩིག་པའི་སྟེང་དུ་གྱུར་ན་ཅི་དེ་ཡང་མཚམས་ཞེ

Venerable, is it permissible to destroy boundaries by means of miraculous power or illusion? Upali, it is not permissible. Why is that? Upali, there is no designation to be established for miraculous power and illusion. Venerable, can planets, rays, the sun, the moon, and stars destroy boundaries with them? Upali, it is not permissible. Why is that? Upali, planets, rays, the sun, the moon, and stars are unstable. Venerable, can water waves destroy boundaries? Upali, it is not permissible. Why is that? Upali, water waves are unstable. The venerable Upali asked the Buddha, the Bhagavan: Venerable, if a monk who takes complete purification, after taking complete purification, dwells in the sky above, is he said to have taken complete purification? Upali, he has not taken it; he must first take it.

Venerable, can one who performs the karma, with the same words of karma and the same request, perform karma for the four assemblies in four places? Upali said yes. If in those four places, three or three monks reside, and the request and karma are manifest, the monk who makes the request there, at the boundary of the four places, with a grass mat or a seat, or a chair, or anything else, pressing down with it, sits on it and performs the karma. That is also for four places, like this, the karma of intimidation, censure and expulsion, reconciliation again, banishment for not seeing, the karma of banishment for not doing karma again, the karma of banishment for not abandoning seeing faults again, the karma of cutting off, for those who are present and abiding, the monk performing the karma presses down on the boundary of the four places with a grass mat or a seat and sits. This is the fifth verse of the first chapter of the discussion. Venerable, what is the boundary of the upper realm? Upali, as far as it reaches the top of a tree or the top of a wall. Venerable, exceeding three and a half yojanas to the top of a tree or the top of a wall, is that also called a boundary?
