There is no maturation. There are those that can be restored and those that cannot be restored. Those that can be restored are also of two types: confession and the initial granting of vows. Furthermore, there are two types that can be restored: imputed and ultimate. There are two types that cannot be restored: not seeing and not being in harmony. There are two types of reliance: reliance on the Sangha and reliance on an individual. There are two types of confession: to the Sangha and to an individual. In short, the wise can be divided into three: the ashamed and two types, the disputatious and the speakers of truth, the steadfast and the petitioners. For those who have not committed faults, there is wisdom in not committing faults, and there is wisdom in committing faults. Furthermore, there are two types of wise people: those who are wise in restoring faults that have occurred, and those who are wise in purifying what has not occurred. There are two types of ashamed: those who are careful and those who are not careful. Engaging in disputes leads to two types of faults: from the Sangha and from an individual. There are two types of faults arising from speech: speaking the truth and explaining. Furthermore, there are two types arising from speech: steadfast and unsteadfast. Furthermore, there are two types arising from speech: supplicating and not supplicating. In short, appointment and discipline and examination, listening and being very mindful, knowing well, arguing, disagreeing, inherent, definite speech, wisdom. There are two types of Sangha disputes: appointed and not appointed, disciplined and not disciplined, speaking of examination and not speaking of examination, listening and proclaiming, mindful and not mindful, knowing well and not knowing well, arguing and not arguing, disagreeing and agreeing, inherently existing and inherently not existing, speaking definitively and not speaking definitively, having wisdom and having perverse wisdom. In short, much learning and reciting, completion and certainty, honoring, doing evil, knowing the Dharma, and the seventh. There are two types of Sangha disputes: much learning and little learning, reciting scriptures and not reciting scriptures, scriptures being complete and scriptures not being complete, definite and not definite.

Not, respect and disrespect, knowing the Dharma and not knowing the Dharma, knowing the meaning and not knowing the meaning, knowing the time and not knowing the time, knowing the measure and not knowing the measure, knowing self-nature and not knowing self-nature, knowing retinue and not knowing retinue, knowing the holy person and knowing the non-holy person, the holy person and not knowing the non-holy person. In short, regarding the faults of Dharma and Vinaya, together with the remaining, heavy and light offenses, speaking of what has been done and what should be blamed, and the vows that have been made without forgetting and falling. There are two types of admonishers of the Sangha, as the Tathagata said, not speaking as if slandering the Tathagata and transgressing extremely, not speaking according to the Dharma, not following the Dharma and what is related to the Dharma, that is, saying what is not Dharma as Dharma, saying Dharma as not Dharma, and refuting what has been said, will be blamed by those who are in accordance with the Dharma. There are two types of admonishers of the Sangha, not slandering the Tathagata, nor transgressing extremely, speaking as it is said, acting according to the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma, that is, saying Dharma as Dharma, saying what is not Dharma as not Dharma, and not refuting what has been said, will not be blamed by those who are in accordance with the Dharma. The Middle Sutra says: The act of slandering, threatening and establishing offenses, and the affairs of ignorant children, are all truly summarized in the Middle Sutra. Any admonisher of the Sangha who says what is not Dharma as Dharma, and says Dharma as not Dharma, possessing these two Dharmas, should be threatened, should be blamed, should be expelled, should be abandoned, should be excluded, should be degraded, should be despised, should arouse doubt, hesitation, and regret, should be prolonged, should be pursued, should be regarded as having faults. Any admonisher of the Sangha who says Dharma as Dharma, and says what is not Dharma as not Dharma, possessing these two Dharmas, should not be threatened, should not be blamed, should not be expelled, should not be abandoned, should not be excluded, should not be degraded, should not be despised, should not arouse doubt, hesitation, and regret.
