If one engages in impure conduct, engaging in sexual acts without confessing, that monk is guilty of a head-severing offense and cannot reside together. A monk was living alone in a monastery, and not far from him, a black cow gave birth to a calf, and from that black cow, a female calf was born. When its mother went to find food, the monk took grass and gave it to her, gave her water to drink, and he saw her squatting, her female genitals exposed. When he saw it, he became lustful and went back to engage in sexual intercourse. He became ashamed and thought, 'Have I not committed a head-severing offense?' He became doubtful and told the other monks what had happened in detail. The Blessed One then said: 'Monks, because there was no actual touching, there is no fault of a head-severing offense, but a grave offense will occur.' When that black calf grew up, he saw its female genitals. When he saw it, he became lustful and thought, 'I want to enter,' and he placed his penis on the opening of the female genitals, touched it lightly, and became afraid, thinking, 'Have I not committed a head-severing offense?' He then told in detail what had happened. The Blessed One then said: 'Monks, because of fear, there is no lust, therefore there is no fault of a head-severing offense, but a grave offense will occur.' Just like the black cow, the same applies to a mare, a female donkey, a female deer, a ewe, a female dog, and a sow. In short, becoming insane and mentally disturbed, afflicted by illness and people, considering the non-path as the path, and the three paths being fully proclaimed. Venerable, the Blessed One said that there is no fault for an insane person. To what extent is one considered insane? There are five ways in which one can become insane: the exhaustion of relatives and friends, the exhaustion of enjoyment, the exhaustion of wealth, imbalance of the elements, being bewitched by non-humans, and the ripening of past karma. These five ways can cause one to become insane. If he knows that it is a monk's property, then the object exists as it is. If he does not know that it is a monk's property, then the insane person has no fault. Venerable, the Blessed One said that there is no fault for a mentally disturbed person.

I have not erred. If it is said thus, then, by how much is it called mental disturbance? By five ways, it is called mental disturbance: a non-human disturbs his mind, a non-human insults him, a non-human steals his radiance, the elements are not in harmony, and the maturation of past karma. By these five ways, it is called mental disturbance, and it is explained in detail. Bhikshu, the Blessed One said, there is no fault in being afflicted by disease. If it is said thus, then, by how much is it called being afflicted by disease? By five ways, it is called being afflicted by disease: being moved by wind, bile, phlegm, aggregation, and seasonal changes. These five ways are called being afflicted by disease. A bhikshu perceives a path as not a path, engages in impure conduct, performs sexual acts, and that bhikshu thinks, 'I have not committed a parajika offense,' and doubts arise, and then he speaks in detail about what happened. The Blessed One said, if one perceives a path as not a path, one will commit a parajika offense. If one doubts the path, one will also commit a parajika offense. If one perceives what is not a path as a path, one will commit a sanghavasesa offense. If one doubts what is not a path, one will also commit a sanghavasesa offense. The three paths are: the path of excretion, the path of urination, and the path of the mouth. If a bhikshu inserts into the path of urination and exceeds the foreskin, he will commit a parajika offense. If a bhikshu inserts into the path of excretion and exceeds the anus, he will commit a parajika offense. If a bhikshu inserts into the path of the mouth and exceeds the teeth, he will commit a parajika offense. In short, the female monkey, the lion, the crane, the peacock, the domestic fowl are also the same. Long penis, soft back, Nandi-ka and two patterns. The four sanghavasesa offenses are: the female monkey and the long penis, as described in the differentiation. The Blessed One said, one will commit a parajika offense. The soft back will also commit a parajika offense. For Nandi-ka, instruction is given as described in the Vinaya. A bhikshu sits uncovered, bathing naked, and his attendant is four people, touching his body, making his penis fit for intercourse, and lust arises completely.
