Two perceptions and thus abide. The undiscovered home is the last. (Translator's note: The meaning of this sentence is unclear, suspected to be part of a verse.) Monk: If a monk steals the ornaments of a stupa and the vicinity of the stupa, what happens? He commits a gross offense. Monk: If a monk steals relics, what happens? He commits a pārājika offense. Monk: If a monk steals scriptures, what happens? The value of the scriptures must be calculated. Monk: If a monk steals what has not been given by the Sangha of the four directions, what happens? He commits a gross offense. Monk: If a monk steals what has not been given by many people, what happens? He commits a gross offense, and if he steals five masha that each person has received from it, he commits a pārājika offense. Monk: If a monk steals what has not been given from offerings, what happens? He commits a pārājika offense. Monk: If many monks pass on what has not been given from one to another and steal it, what happens? He commits a gross offense. Monk: The Blessed One said that if a large item is stolen without being given, it becomes a pārājika offense. Monk: If a monk steals a large item without being given, is there a situation where it does not become a pārājika offense? Yes, it is when it is stolen from the place where it was placed.
