He is defeated. Venerable, if a monk uses a mantra or medicine to transform himself into the body of an animal and engages in impure conduct with a human woman, what will happen? If he has awareness of being a monk, he is defeated for engaging in sexual intercourse. If he has no awareness of being a monk, he commits a grave offense. Venerable, if a monk uses a mantra or medicine to transform both himself and a human woman into the bodies of animals and they engage in impure conduct with each other, what will happen? If he has awareness of being a monk, he is defeated for engaging in sexual intercourse. If he has no awareness of being a monk, he commits a grave offense. The venerable Upali asked the Blessed One Shakyamuni Buddha: Venerable, the Blessed One said that defeat occurs as soon as it is inserted. How much insertion is considered insertion? Upali, it is considered insertion when it goes beyond the teeth. How much insertion is considered insertion into the path of feces? It is considered insertion when it goes beyond the anus. How much insertion is considered insertion into the path of urine? It is considered insertion when it goes beyond the labia. Venerable, if a woman has died halfway and the three orifices are also damaged, and a monk connects one half of the body to the other half and engages in impure conduct, what will happen? He commits a grave offense. Venerable, if a monk engages in impure conduct with a woman who has been cut off at the waist, and any of the three orifices are not damaged, what will happen? However, if one engages in sexual activity through the oral passage, or a tube, or the hole of the collarbone, it results in a major offense. The Blessed One said that engaging in impure conduct, sexual intercourse, with a non-human female results in downfall. What is considered a non-human? It is one with all limbs complete. Similarly, it should be understood for those who have become animals. Monk, if it is inserted bent, what happens? It results in a major offense. Monk, if a monk engages in impure conduct outside the teeth, inside the mouth, what happens? It results in a major offense. Monk, if a monk inserts without touching the anal passage, urinary passage, or oral passages, what happens? It results in a major offense. Monk, if a monk engages in impure conduct with the burnt, hairless corpse of a sow, what happens? It results in a major offense. This should be said similarly for all animal realms. In short, the limbs of others, and the two huts are also the same. Two damaged and entwined, and the fourth two and the seventh. Monk, if a monk inserts the penis of another into the vagina of another, what happens? It results in a major offense.
