If, after taking full ordination, the time has passed, what happens? It is a transgression. Having taken full ordination and then left it, if after taking full ordination the time has passed, what happens? It will be abandoned. If one who has taken full ordination leaves it, and the time passes without having taken full ordination, what happens? It is a transgression. Monk: If it is not according to the rules, and the king exempts it, how should a monk mend clothes? It should be done as if entering the rules. Is a mended garment called one that has exceeded ten days, or is it called one that has not exceeded ten days? It should be called one that has exceeded ten days. Monk: Is it permissible to make a mended garment into an untimely garment? Upali: It is not permissible. Monk: The Blessed One said: "A mended garment, keep it until the time of offering the garment." Monk: What is the time of offering the garment? Upali: It is the time when it is according to the rules; before it is according to the rules, all times are not the time. Monk: If the one who bestows the precepts leaves the garment after the time of offering the garment has passed, what happens? It will be abandoned. Monk: If a Bhikshuni leaves the mended garment after the time of offering the garment has passed, what happens? It will be abandoned. Shramanerika, Shramanera, and female Shramanerika, etc., have committed transgressions, which should be explained in detail. In any case, if the material of that garment is lawful, but the thread is unlawful, or the thread is lawful but the material is unlawful, or both are unlawful. What is unlawful is: mixed with ewe's wool, cow's wool, goat's wool, or deer's wool. Similarly, if an un-woven garment is left for more than six days, a transgression will be committed. Monk: If a monk, thinking that more than six days have passed, leaves that garment, what happens? It will be abandoned.
