Bhikshu, if he steals from the northern Uttarakuru continent without giving, what will happen? Upali, there is no taking without giving there. If he generates a stealing mind, he will incur a gross offense. Bhikshu, if a bhikshu steals for another without giving, what will happen? He will incur a gross offense.
