若。若于未受具足戒者作未受具足戒想，则犯恶作。如比丘 如是说则犯堕罪，如是授学处，于比丘尼亦犯堕罪。于式叉摩尼、沙弥尼、沙弥则犯恶作。总而言之，疯狂及心乱者， 病、聋、行路者， 性别及第四者如是，咒语及其他此等七者， 在家者等是， 近事及比丘尼也。世尊薄伽梵，具寿邬波离请问：尊者，世尊曾说，若有比丘众争斗，互相揭短，若听闻而不制止，则犯堕罪。尊者，若比丘听闻疯狂比丘等争斗而不制止，则如何？犯恶作。如是心乱者，为病所苦者，愚者，哑者，聋者，以及住于他处的比丘等，若不言语而听闻静坐，则一切皆犯恶作。尊者，若比丘听闻比丘众争斗而不制止，于听闻时性别转变成为比丘尼，则如何？犯恶作。尊者，若比丘尼听闻而不制止，于听闻时性别转变成为比丘，则如何？犯恶作。尊者，若比丘于受具足戒者作未受具足戒想，听闻而不制止，则如何？犯恶作。尊者，若比丘以咒语或药物令自身隐形，听闻而不制止，则如何？犯恶作。尊者，若比丘听闻比丘众争斗而告知他人，则如何？犯恶作。尊者，若比丘听闻比丘众争斗而为他人听闻，则 如何？犯恶作。尊者，若于未受具足戒者处准备听闻，而听闻未受具足戒者，则如何？犯恶作。若于未受具足戒者处准备，而听闻已受具足戒者，则如何？犯恶作。

If one perceives someone who has not taken full ordination as not having taken full ordination, it is a transgression. Just as a bhikshu speaking in that way incurs a downfall, so too does giving instruction, and a bhikshuni also incurs a downfall. A female trainee, a female novice, and male novices all incur transgressions. In short, those who are mad and mentally disturbed, sick, deaf, and those who travel, sex and the fourth are the same, mantras and others, these seven, householders and so on, near ones and bhikshunis. The Venerable Upali asked the Buddha, the Bhagavan: Venerable, the Bhagavan has said that if any bhikshu monks are fighting, revealing each other's faults, and one listens without stopping them, it is a downfall. Venerable, if a bhikshu listens to mad bhikshus fighting and does not stop them, what happens? It is a transgression. Similarly, those who are mentally disturbed, afflicted by illness, foolish, mute, deaf, and bhikshus who reside elsewhere, if they listen and sit without saying anything, all of them incur transgressions. Venerable, if a bhikshu listens to bhikshu monks fighting and does not stop them, and while listening, their gender changes and they become a bhikshuni, what happens? It is a transgression. Venerable, if a bhikshuni listens and does not stop them, and while listening, their gender changes and they become a bhikshu, what happens? It is a transgression. Venerable, if a bhikshu perceives someone who has taken full ordination as not having taken full ordination and listens without stopping them, what happens? It is a transgression. Venerable, if a bhikshu uses mantras or medicine to make themselves invisible and listens without stopping them, what happens? It is a transgression. Similarly, with eunuchs, expelled bhikshunis, those who have killed their father, those who have killed their mother, those who have killed arhats, those who have maliciously drawn blood from the Tathagata, heretics, those who have become heretics, thieves' dwellings, non-dwellings, those who dwell separately, those who have previously committed offenses, and those who have previously quarreled, if one listens and sits without saying anything, all will be minor offenses. Bhante, if a bhikshu listens without stopping those who have caused dissension in the sangha, what happens? A downfall. If one listens without stopping those who are approaching and those who are being instructed, what happens? All will be downfalls. Bhante, if a bhikshu listens without stopping bhikshunis, shikshamanas, shramanerikas, and shramaneras, what happens? All will be minor offenses. Bhante, is there a case where bhikshus are fighting and quarreling, and one listens without stopping them, but there is no offense? Upali, there is. That is, if the bhikshu listens thinking to pacify them. Bhante, if one who is being instructed listens without stopping them, what happens? A downfall.
