Furthermore, the gains of the Sangha should also be widely proclaimed. Bhikshu, suppose a bhikshu says this about the gains of those who cause dissension in the Sangha: 'Venerable ones, dedicate the gains of the Sangha to an individual.' What would happen? It would be a downfall. Similarly, regarding the gains of those bhikshus who, with malicious intent, draw blood from the Tathagata Thus Come One), and those who live separately, saying: 'Venerable ones, dedicate the gains of the Sangha to an individual in a friendly manner.' What would happen? It would be a downfall. Bhikshu, if a bhikshu has previously made it properly allowable, and then says: 'Venerable ones, dedicate the gains of the Sangha to an individual in a friendly manner,' would it not be a downfall? Near One, yes. For example, if the type of that monastic robe is allowable, but the material is not; or the material is allowable, but the type is not; or neither is allowable. What is not allowable is: mixed with goat hair, cow hair, deer hair, sheep wool, and unspun. For the sake of such a monastic robe, saying: 'Venerable ones, like this, dedicate the gains of the Sangha to an individual in a friendly manner.' What would happen? It would be a misdeed. Bhikshu, suppose the Sangha obtains a monastic robe that is less than one cubit long, and the bhikshu has previously made it properly allowable, and then says: 'Venerable ones, dedicate the gains of the Sangha to an individual in a friendly manner.' What would happen? It would be a misdeed. Bhikshu, suppose a bhikshu, for the sake of gains other than obtaining a monastic robe, says: 'Venerable ones, dedicate the gains of the Sangha to an individual in a friendly manner.' What would happen? It would be a misdeed. Bhikshu, suppose the Sangha bestows a monastic robe without being in the presence of that bhikshu, and then goes and says: 'Venerable ones, dedicate the gains of the Sangha to an individual in a friendly manner.' What would happen? It would be a misdeed. Bhikshu, suppose the precepts
