If one holds it, what will happen? An offense has been committed. Venerable one, if a monk holds a gray alms bowl, what will happen? An offense has been committed. Venerable one, if a monk becomes mentally disturbed immediately after obtaining an alms bowl, from where should the ten years be counted? From when one's mind returns to normal. Venerable one, even if a monk holds an extra alms bowl for more than ten years, it will not become a Nissaggiya Pacittiya, is that so? Ananda, yes, like when a monk obtains an alms bowl and ten days have passed, or one changes gender and becomes a nun and holds it. Venerable one, even if a nun holds an extra alms bowl for more than a year, she will not commit an offense, is that so? Ananda, yes, like when a nun changes gender immediately after obtaining an alms bowl and becomes a monk and holds it. Venerable one, even if a monk holds an extra alms bowl for a very long time, he will not commit an offense, is that so? Ananda, yes, like when a monk sends a nun for an alms bowl for a monk, and then takes that alms bowl and holds it for a very long time, there is no offense. Venerable one, if a monk possesses only one alms bowl, will that one also become something to be abandoned, is that so? Ananda, yes, if one holds it without blessing it. Venerable one, even if a monk carries an alms bowl on his back until the end of his life, he will not commit an offense, is that so? Ananda, yes, like when a monk passes away within ten days. Venerable one, if a fully ordained monk holds an extra alms bowl for more than ten years, what will happen? It will become a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. If a nun holds an extra alms bowl for more than one day, it will become a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. For nuns, novices, and female novices, there is no offense. For those who have previously committed offenses, etc., an offense has been committed. 又，比丘如果钵没有五块补丁，明明可以使用却为了想要更好的，而去寻找其他新的钵，如果钵找到了，是舍堕罪。那位比丘应该把那个钵，布施给比丘僧团，那个比丘僧团里最差的钵，从那个比丘之后，比丘你不要加持这个钵，不要施舍，不要布施给其他人，直到破烂的尽头，慢慢地、缓缓地使用。这样布施，这就是它的仪轨。世尊所说的是这样。大德，如果比丘从信使那里寻找第二个钵，会怎么样呢？犯了恶作罪。如果得到钵，会怎么样呢？仅仅是恶作罪。从信使那里如何通过书信，手势，嫁祸于人，通过传递寻找第二个钵，会怎么样呢？犯了恶作罪。如果得到钵，会怎么样呢？仅仅是恶作罪。大德，如果比丘从疯子那里寻找第二个钵，会怎么样呢？犯了恶作罪。如果得到钵，会怎么样呢？仅仅是恶作罪。同样地，从精神错乱的人，被感觉折磨的人，愚蠢的人，聋子，以及处于其他状态的人那里寻找第二个钵，会怎么样呢？犯了恶作罪。如果得到钵，会怎么样呢？仅仅是恶作罪。总结：外道和食物本身，同样地还有名字和也，共同的和四类，用具们和比丘尼。大德，如果比丘从这些之外的其他外道，沙门，婆罗门，行者，以及遍行者那里寻找第二个钵，会怎么样呢？犯了恶作罪。如果得到钵，会怎么样呢？仅仅是恶作罪。大德，如果比丘乞讨外道的器皿，会怎么样呢？犯了恶作罪。如果得到器皿，会怎么样呢？仅仅是恶作罪。《律经上》，第七卷。大德，如果比丘从食物那里寻找第二个钵，会怎么样呢？犯了恶作罪。如果得到钵，会怎么样呢？

Furthermore, if a Bhikshu, whose bowl does not have five patches, yet is usable, seeks another new bowl because he desires a better one, and if the bowl is obtained, it is an offense entailing forfeiture. That Bhikshu should give that bowl to the Bhikshu Sangha, and whichever is the worst bowl in that Bhikshu Sangha, from that Bhikshu onwards, you Bhikshu should not bless this bowl, should not give it away, should not donate it to others, but use it slowly and gradually until it is completely broken. Thus it should be given, and that is the procedure for it. This is what the Blessed One said. Venerable, if a Bhikshu seeks a second bowl from a messenger, what will happen? He commits an offense of wrong-doing. If he obtains the bowl, what will happen? Only an offense of wrong-doing. How does he seek a second bowl from a messenger through letters, gestures, blaming others, and transmission? What will happen? He commits an offense of wrong-doing. If he obtains the bowl, what will happen? Only an offense of wrong-doing. Venerable, if a Bhikshu seeks a second bowl from a madman, what will happen? He commits an offense of wrong-doing. If he obtains the bowl, what will happen? Only an offense of wrong-doing. Similarly, if he seeks a second bowl from those who are mentally disturbed, those who are tormented by feelings, fools, deaf people, and those who are in other states, what will happen? He commits an offense of wrong-doing. If he obtains the bowl, what will happen? Only an offense of wrong-doing. Summary: Heretics and food itself, similarly also names and also, common and four groups, utensils and Bhikshunis. Venerable, if a Bhikshu seeks a second bowl from other outsiders, ascetics, Brahmins, practitioners, and wanderers, what will happen? He commits an offense of wrong-doing. If he obtains the bowl, what will happen? Only an offense of wrong-doing. Venerable, if a Bhikshu begs for the vessel of a heretic, what will happen? He commits an offense of wrong-doing.
