If the monastic robe is completed, what happens? He commits an offense. Monks, suppose a monk, for the sake of making a monastic robe, requests help from a madman, and obtains it after four, five, or six times. If the monastic robe is completed, what happens? He commits an offense. Similarly, requesting help from someone who is mentally disturbed, suffering, foolish, or deaf, and obtaining it after four, five, or six times. If the monastic robe is completed, what happens? He commits an offense. Monks, suppose a monk, for the sake of making a monastic robe, requests help from someone who is asleep, and obtains it after four, five, or six times. If the monastic robe is completed, what happens? He commits an offense. Similarly, for the sake of making a monastic robe, requesting help from someone who is idle, extremely drunk, in meditative absorption, living elsewhere, or other outsiders such as Jainas, ascetics, Brahmins, practitioners, or wanderers, and obtaining it after four, five, or six times. If the monastic robe is completed, what happens? He commits an offense. The verse says: Unsuitable ones and the four categories, Likewise also names and such, Meat-eaters, hermaphrodites, and Hermaphrodite females are the last. Monks, suppose a monk, for the sake of making a monastic robe, requests it and obtains it after four, five, or six times, but even if the monastic robe is completed, it does not become an offense of expiation with forfeiture. Is there such a case? Near-round, there is. For example, the type of monastic robe is suitable, but the material is unsuitable; the type is unsuitable, but the material is suitable; or both are unsuitable.
