Bhikkhu, if a householder comes to the place where all the Sangha is assembled and says this: Venerable ones, please say this to such and such a householder with my words: Give your son a daughter, sister, niece, or granddaughter. If the Sangha accepts the message and delivers it, and then sends it back, what will happen to all the Sangha? One will commit a sanghadisesa offense. However, if the message of all the Sangha is delivered and sent back by one bhikkhu, what will happen to all the Sangha? One will commit a sanghadisesa offense. However, if one bhikkhu delivers and sends it back with his own words, what will happen? One will commit a gross offense.
