The army, along with its four divisions, set out and surrounded the city of Varanasi. The minister said to King Brahmadatta, "The petty kings of the heavenly realms have surrounded the city, please consider how to settle things peacefully." Upon hearing this, the king said, "Go and see where the wise horse Cangshi is, and also armor the four divisions of the army. I will fight alongside them." So they found the horse Cangshi and armored the four divisions of the army. Together, they prepared the battlefield and began to fight. At that moment, another petty king from a different kingdom struck King Brahmadatta's horse Cangshi in the neck with a spear, causing its intestines to spill out. The feeling of pain tormented it, its joints broke, and the sensation of bones separating overwhelmed it. However, it persevered, thinking, 'The king is in pain, fear, and danger, and it is not my way to abandon him.' So it strived to overcome the pain, thinking, 'Somehow, I must get from this narrow place to the city.' They looked for opportunities to enter the city, and in the royal garden of Varanasi, there was a pond belonging to King Brahmadatta called Brahma Pond, adorned with utpala flowers, lotuses, water lilies, and white lotuses. Swans, karanda birds, and ducks decorated the island in the middle of the lake, and the surroundings were adorned with various flowers and fruits, as well as dense forests, where various birds chirped. It forcefully rushed into that dense forest, stepped on the lotus petals of Brahma Pond, crossed over, and emerged from the narrow place. After the king dismounted, it fell to the ground and died. Afterward, the king and the ministers began searching for each other. Some went to the royal garden, while others ran in all directions, but no one found it. So they each seized their horses and elephants and returned. To save the life of King Brahmadatta, the citizens, villagers, and remaining ministers residing in Varanasi

To summarize the incomplete parts: If there is a life-giver who is enthroned from the head of the royal family, how should it be accomplished? They said: O deity, we will grant half of the kingdom. He said: My life-giver is the wise horse, but it is past its time. Even if it is given to it, what use would it have? They said: O deity, for its sake, we will give alms at the four gates of the city, perform non-seasonal offerings, and perform virtuous deeds. The king said: Wise ones, do it well in this way. Then the king's consorts, young men, ministers, and citizens piled up all the fragrant wood and burned it. Furthermore, they built alms-giving houses at the four gates of the city, and ordered the stones, bricks, and tiles in the city to be removed, and sprinkled them with sandalwood water. They placed incense burners with fragrant scents. They erected umbrellas and victory banners. They hung many silk ribbons. Like the pleasure garden of the gods, they scattered various kinds of flowers and pollen, making it delightful. After performing non-seasonal offerings, they proclaimed in the city: Wise ones, residents of Varanasi, and assemblies of people who have come from various places, listen! Here, for the sake of the deity's wise horse, we are giving alms at the four gates of the city, performing non-seasonal offerings, and performing virtuous deeds. Therefore, you should come to the Dharma with various clothes, ornaments, garlands, and excellent wealth. Then the residents and people from various places came and performed great non-seasonal offerings, and also gave various desired things as alms at the four gates of the city. Monks, what do you think? That wise horse was none other than myself. At that time, even at that moment, my vital points were severed, and the feeling of my joints being separated was just at the point of being vital, and I acted as its savior. Vinaya Miscellaneous Matters, Volume 55. Then, the monks again had doubts, and asked the Blessed One Buddha, who cuts off all doubts.

Venerable Rabzang, what deeds did he do that he attained the final realization among the Shravakas? The Blessed One said: O monks, whatever deeds the monk Rabzang himself has done and accumulated, and the collection he has obtained, the fully transformed causes, abiding near like light, he will surely experience. How could anyone else experience the deeds done and accumulated by Rabzang? O monks, the deeds done and accumulated will not ripen in the external realm of earth, nor in the realm of water, nor in the realm of fire, nor in the realm of wind. But in the aggregates, realms, and sources that are grasped, the virtuous and non-virtuous deeds will ripen. Actions, even after hundreds of eons, are not wasted, and when the time of gathering comes, they will ripen as fruit for sentient beings. O monks, in the past, in the past fortunate eon, when the life span of beings was twenty thousand years, a teacher named Light Protector appeared in the world, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata, knower of the world, unsurpassed, tamer of beings, teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha, the Blessed One, resided near the Deer Park in the city of Varanasi. Then, the attendant of the Blessed One Light Protector, named No-Sorrow, in order to attain liberation, went forth from the Light Protector. But he thought he was liberated and had attained freedom, so he did not make effort. After a very long time, No-Sorrow was dwelling while traveling. The Blessed One, the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light Protector, having completed all the deeds of a Buddha, like a fire that has consumed its fuel, entered the final sleep. The monk No-Sorrow was abiding in inner concentration near an Ashoka tree. When a deity dwelling in that Ashoka tree heard that the Blessed One Light Protector had passed away, he wept, and a drop of his weeping fell on the body of No-Sorrow. Then, No-Sorrow looked up and saw the deity weeping, and asked: Why are you weeping, O deity? The deity said: Today
