Do not praise, do not criticize; without praise or criticism, listen attentively and grasp the essence of the Dharma and the words, conforming to the Sutras. Examine the Vinaya correctly. If it conforms to the Sutras, and upon examining the Vinaya, it aligns with the Sutras, the Vinaya appears correct, and it does not contradict the Dharma, then speak to that Bhikshu. Thus, the elders among the Bhikshus expound the Dharma and the Vinaya, and the Venerable Ones have well grasped this Dharma. Therefore, this Dharma conforms to the Sutras, and upon examining the Vinaya correctly, it aligns with the Sutras, appears in the Vinaya, and does not contradict the Dharma, this is the Dharma, this is the Vinaya, know that this is what the Teacher has taught, and accept it. Thereupon, Ananda, concerning the first four statements spoken on the dark side, the Bhikshus should apply their wisdom very correctly, examine them correctly, and knowing that this is not the Dharma, this is not the Vinaya, this is not what the Teacher has taught, they should abandon it. Concerning the latter four statements that are explained in detail, the Bhikshus should apply their wisdom correctly, examine them correctly, and knowing that this is the Dharma, this is the Vinaya, this is what the Teacher has taught, they should accept it. Likewise, Ananda, the Bhikshus should rely on the Sutras and not rely on individuals. Then, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Ananda: Ananda, I am going to Sapa village. Venerable One, so be it. The Venerable Ananda heard from the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One traveled from Malla to Sapa village, and resided in the many groves of Jalu in Sapa village. The Mallas of Sapa village heard: The Blessed One has traveled from Malla to Sapa village, and resides in the many groves of Jalu ka in Sapa village. So they gathered again, assembled and assembled, and having gathered, they came out of Sapa village and went to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, they bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, and then sat to one side. Having sat to one side, the Blessed One correctly taught the Dharma, correctly encouraged, correctly praised, correctly

Joy arose, and at that time, the blacksmith's son Cunda was also gathered in that assembly, sitting there. Then, the Blessed One thoroughly taught the Mallas of the village of Sapa with various kinds of Dharma talks, thoroughly encouraged them, thoroughly praised them, thoroughly gladdened them, and then remained silent. Then, the Mallas of the village of Sapa, greatly rejoiced at what the Blessed One had said, and after rejoicing, they bowed their heads to the feet of the Blessed One and departed from the presence of the Blessed One. The blacksmith's son Cunda was also sitting there. Then, the blacksmith's son Cunda, knowing that the Mallas of the village of Sapa had departed not long ago, arose from his seat, arranged his upper robe on one side, and with his palms joined, bowed to where the Blessed One was, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, would you please allow the Blessed One, together with the Sangha of monks, to come to my dwelling tomorrow for a meal?" The Blessed One remained silent to the blacksmith's son Cunda, which meant he allowed it. Then, the blacksmith's son Cunda, knowing that the Blessed One's silence meant permission, greatly rejoiced at what the Blessed One had said, and after rejoicing, he bowed his head to the feet of the Blessed One and departed from his presence. Then, that night, the blacksmith's son Cunda prepared excellent rice food for the Blessed One, prepared exquisite food, and gathered pure and excellent food and dishes for the Sangha of monks. The next morning, he arose early, spread out seats, placed water jugs, and then said to the Blessed One: "Venerable Blessed One, the meal is prepared, now the time has come, please be aware of the time." Then he invited the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, in the morning, put on his Dharma robe and lower garment, took his bowl, and surrounded by many monks, led by the Sangha of monks, went to the dwelling of the blacksmith's son Cunda, and upon arriving, sat down on the seat spread out in front of the Sangha of monks. Then, the blacksmith's son Cunda, knowing that the Buddha and the Sangha of monks were seated comfortably, offered the Blessed One the excellent rice food prepared in an iron bowl.
