There, he passed away to be liberated from sorrow. Then, another monk also spoke in verse at that time: O Sage, your last sight of Vaishali is here today. The perfectly enlightened Buddha will not return to Vaishali again. In the vicinity of the Mallas, in the grove of twin Sala trees, he went there to pass away from sorrow. Then, the Blessed One, traveling from the land of Vrji, arrived at the village of Rurtar, and stayed in the grove of Shisha trees north of the village of Rurtar. Then, the Blessed One said to the monks: This is discipline, this is concentration, this is wisdom. Because of fully cultivating discipline, concentration will abide for a long time. Because concentration abides for a long time, wisdom will be fully cultivated. If wisdom is fully cultivated, it will be like this: the mind is completely liberated from desire, hatred, and delusion. Monks, similarly, the noble disciples who possess a mind that is completely and thoroughly liberated, will say: My birth is exhausted, my pure conduct has been practiced, what needed to be done has been done, and there is no other existence after this, thus I truly know. Summary verse: Rurtar, Dumba, Amra, Jambhu, Shurva, Balarang, two villages Vrji, Malla, thus enjoying the city. Just as the village of Rurtar is, so are the village of Dumba, the village of Amra, the village of Jambhu, the village of Ji, the village of Shurva, the village of Balarang, the village of Vrji, and the village of Malla. From the village of enjoyment, he went and stayed in the grove of Shisha trees north of the village of enjoyment. At that time, the great earth shook, meteors fell, directional terms, and the gods in the sky beat drums. Then, the venerable Ananda arose from meditation in the afternoon and went to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: Venerable, for what reason, for what cause, does the great earth shake? Ananda...
