Thus, Sariputra, you should train yourself in this way. Then, the Brahmin youth Sariputra, deeply praised what the Blessed One had said, rejoiced, and bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, departing from the presence of the Blessed One. After that, Amra-rakshita (Mango Guardian Woman) from that very night prepared clean and meritorious food and drinks. The next morning, she rose early, prepared the seats, placed the jeweled water vessels, and informed the Blessed One of the time for invitation: "Venerable one, the time for invitation is ready, please know that now is the time." Then, the Blessed One in the morning put on his lower garment, wore the Dharma robe, and carried the alms bowl. Surrounded by a gathering of monks and led by the monastic community, he went to where Amra-rakshita's residence was, and upon arriving, sat on the prepared seat in the midst of the monastic community. Then, Amra-rakshita, knowing that the monastic community including the Buddha was seated comfortably, personally served clean and meritorious food and drinks from her own hands, satisfying them. In various ways, she served clean and meritorious food and drinks from her own hands, satisfying them. When the Blessed One had finished eating and put down the bowl, knowing that the alms bowl had been taken away, she took a low seat and sat before the Blessed One in order to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Blessed One rejoiced and praised Amra-rakshita's generosity: "One who delights in giving, people rely on them, their fame spreads far and wide, and their reputation increases. Without stinginess, when going to assemblies, they are not timid and have no fear. Therefore, the wise who desire happiness should abandon the stain of stinginess and practice generosity. They dwell long in the Thirty-Three Heavens, enjoying happiness equally with the gods. Those who give alms and do good deeds, after death, are reborn and wander in the joyous gardens illuminated by their own light. There, they play and rejoice, endowed with many qualities of desirable things. The unbound protector, after hearing his teachings, the Shravakas of the Sugata rejoice in the heavenly realms." Then, the Blessed One instructed Amra-rakshita with a Dharma-filled discourse, thoroughly.
