And, in order to be completely perfect and to increase and expand, generate desire. Strive. Exert effort. Completely hold the mind. Completely abide. Monks, this is abiding in diligence. Monks, what is it to be aware and abide with awareness when going and coming? That is, looking and. Truly looking and. Contracting and. Stretching and. Wearing the monastic robes and. Carrying the alms bowl and. Walking and. Standing and. Sitting and. Lying down and. Getting up and. Speaking and. Not speaking and. Sleeping and. Being tired and. Resting, being aware. Monks, this is abiding with awareness. Monks, how is it to abide in mindfulness? Monks, here, observing the body on the inner body, with diligence, awareness, and mindfulness, abandoning covetousness and sorrow in the world, one abides. The outer body and. The inner body and. The inner and outer body and. The outer feeling and. The inner feeling and. The inner and outer feeling and. The outer mind and. The inner mind and. The inner and outer mind and. The outer dharma and. The inner dharma and. Observing the dharma on the inner and outer dharma, with diligence, awareness, and mindfulness, abandoning covetousness and sorrow in the world, one abides. Monks, this is abiding in mindfulness. Monks, what I said, "Amra Guardian Woman, come here, abide with diligence, awareness, and mindfulness," that is what it means. Then, Amra Guardian Woman went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, bowed her head at the feet of the Blessed One, and sat to one side. Having sat to one side, the Blessed One, with words in accordance with the Dharma, truly showed Amra Guardian Woman, caused her to truly receive, caused her to truly uplift, caused her to truly rejoice. In many ways, with words in accordance with the Dharma, truly showed, caused her to truly receive, truly uplifted, truly rejoiced, and then remained silent. Then, Amra Guardian Woman rose from her seat, and towards where the Blessed One was, folded her palms in reverence.

Then, Amra Guardian Girl said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, if you, together with the Sangha of monks, would grant me the favor of coming to my mango grove tomorrow for a meal, please allow it." The Blessed One did not speak, and thus granted Amra Guardian Girl's request. Then, Amra Guardian Girl, knowing that the Blessed One's silence meant consent, rejoiced and praised the Blessed One's words.
