If (needed), water, earth, and oil containers should be offered. After the food is prepared, the Khenpo should be asked, "Do you want to do good here, or do you want to go to the daytime residence?" If he says, "I want to go to the daytime residence," then take the cushion and go, sweep the daytime residence with a duster and broom, lay the cushion, and often smear it with the dung of young calves. If he wants to expand reading, it should be shown to him. If he wants to expand meditation, the object of mind should be shown to him. When he comes back from the daytime residence, check the bedding, wash your hands and feet, and then pay homage to the stupa. Also pay homage to those who practice similarly to Brahma, and place the Khenpo's chair, water, shoes, and oil containers nearby. If he washes his feet, wash and wipe them. If not, water and earth should be offered. If it becomes cold, bless the smoke and light a fire. If it becomes hot, put on a fan. He should also know the time and have him recite and read. Whatever needs to be done with the begging bowl and other items, the Khenpo and teacher should do it first, and then you should do it yourself. Attendants and close attendants should serve the Khenpo and teacher in this way. In this way, if the Khenpo and teacher are served by attendants and close attendants, then like a lotus in water, their virtuous Dharma will obviously increase. The Basis of Miscellaneous Vinaya. Volume Forty-Nine. The origin of the story is in Rajagriha (Rajgir, located in Bihar). At that time, on Black Mountain, there were monks Jiexing, Nabsuo, and red-gray monks who destroyed families and practiced all kinds of evil dharmas. They lived with women, gossiped together, played together, made noise together, frolicked with each other, snuggled with each other, sat on the same mat, enjoyed themselves in the same container, drank various kinds of wine in the same cup, picked flowers, had others pick them, strung garlands, had others string them, and decorated with flowers.
