Having appeared together with the Blessed One, truly rejoicing and truly satisfied, they engaged in various kinds of conversations and stayed in one place. After staying in one place, the Brahmin Lotus Heart addressed the Blessed One, saying: "O Wise Gautama, I have filled a chariot with pure and meritorious food and drink, which I have prepared. I beseech the Wise Gautama to accept this with a compassionate heart." Then, at that time, the Venerable Ananda was holding a fan near the Blessed One's robe, fanning the Blessed One and sitting. Then, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Ananda: "Ananda, go and gather all the monks who are dwelling nearby, in accordance with their wishes, to the place of offering." The Venerable One, in accordance with the command, having heard the Blessed One's words, gathered all the monks who were dwelling nearby, in accordance with their wishes, to the place of offering, and then went to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, he bowed his head to the Blessed One's feet and stayed in one place. Then, the Brahmin Lotus Heart, knowing that the assembly of monks, including the Buddha, were sitting comfortably, personally gave pure and meritorious food and drink from his own hands, satisfying them.
