Where did those youths go? The gods, having expelled those youths for some faults, they each took their sisters and went to other places and countries, and gradually in the direction of the snowy mountains, on the banks of the Ganges (Bhadrā), boys and girls were born and settled. Then, King Sweet Cane (Ikshvaku) said to the ministers: "Hey, villagers, can the youths do that?" The gods can. Then, King Sweet Cane praised and stretched out his right hand, saying especially, saying especially: "Alas, the youths are very capable!" Because it was called a powerful sentient being, it was said: "Alas, the youths are capable!" Saying this, it was known as Shakya. Brahmin's son, have you heard a little that the Shakyas originated from there, and that their lineage is like that? Hey, Gautama, I have heard that the Shakyas originated from there, and that their lineage is like that. Brahmin's son, King Sweet Cane's maidservant named Blue Lotus (Nilini), who was beautiful in appearance, pleasing to the eye, and beautiful. She united with an ascetic of the Chandalas caste, and from their union a boy was born. As soon as the child was born, the mother said: "Please wipe my body for a while, wash it clean, and free me from impurity!" Then, at another time, the flesh-eaters called the son of Non-Winking Eyes by the words spoken as soon as the child was born: "Please wipe my body for a while, and free me from impurity! Alas, a son of Non-Winking Eyes has been born!" Therefore, the son of Non-Winking Eyes was called the son of Non-Winking Eyes. Brahmin's son, have you heard a little that the sons of Non-Winking Eyes originated from there, and that their lineage is like that? After saying this, the Brahmin's son Evil Visage (Kanha) did not say a word. The Blessed One repeatedly said this to the Brahmin's son Evil Visage: Brahmin's son, have you heard that the sons of Non-Winking Eyes originated from there, and that their lineage is like that?

Have you heard a little about that lineage? Asked two or three times, the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance did not speak at all. Then, the Vajrapani Yaksha, holding a burning vajra, extremely burning, completely extremely burning, the flames becoming one and burning, holding it over the head of the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance, thinking, 'If the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance, when asked by the Bhagavan three times about the offense he has committed, does not answer and is punished, then with this burning vajra, extremely burning, completely extremely burning, the flames becoming one and burning, I will split his head into seven pieces.' The Vajrapani Yaksha was seen by the Bhagavan, and through the power of the Buddha, the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance also saw him. Then, the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance, terrified and frightened, his hair standing on end, said to the Bhagavan, 'O Gautama, I have heard that those sons who do not blink their eyes originated from that and are the beginning, and that is their lineage.' Then, most of the elderly Brahmins and householders thought, 'If the venerable Gautama says that the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance is the son of a Shākya slave girl, and the Shākyas are the sons of his master, is true, then we have not believed what the wise Gautama has said.' Then, the Bhagavan said to most of the Brahmins and householders, 'Do not speak too harshly to the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance, calling him the son of a slave girl. Why is that? Because at that time he became a great ascetic with great miraculous powers and great strength, but King Ikshvaku, because of some faults, was punished by the Brahmins' punishment. After being punished by the Brahmins' punishment, King Ikshvaku became terrified and frightened, his hair standing on end, and with his left hand holding his eldest daughter, adorned with all ornaments, and with his right hand holding a golden water pot, he offered her to that ascetic as a wife, but that ascetic did not accept her.' Then, the Bhagavan said to the Brahmin boy Evil-Appearance that he was the son of a slave girl, and therefore he felt ashamed.
