Having gathered various things, they stayed in one place. After staying in one place, the Blessed One truly showed the Brahmins who were the majority the talk that was in accordance with the Dharma, made them truly understand, truly praised, and truly rejoiced. When the Blessed One was speaking to the majority of Brahmins about the talk that was in accordance with the Dharma, the Brahmin boy Madu, wearing shoes, walked around and suddenly started talking about those words, not finishing those words, disrespectfully arrogant, thinking of refuting. Then, the Blessed One said these words to the Brahmin boy Madu: Brahmin boy, do you suddenly speak such words together with those Brahmins who know the three Vedas? Hey, Gautama, what kind of words? When the Tathagata speaks to the majority of Brahmins about the talk that is in accordance with the Dharma, you walk around wearing shoes, and suddenly start talking about those words, not finishing those words, disrespectfully arrogant, thinking of refuting, like this. Hey, Gautama, the Brahmins who walk, are with those who walk; those who stand, are with those who stand; those who sit, are with those who sit; those who lie down, are with those who lie down; they speak well to each other. How can I, together with those shaven-headed, black, low-caste members of the Shramanas, talk about such sudden words like talking with the wise Gautama now? Brahmin boy, you have entered for the sake of benefit, and come here, like this is not serving, because others do not have it, so the Brahmin boy Madu is like someone who does not serve from the assembly of the teacher. Then, when the Blessed One rebuked the Brahmin boy Madu with disrespectful words, he became angry, agitated, threatened and displeased, wanting to speak badly to the Blessed One, wanting to be arrogant, wanting to argue, wanting to bear a grudge, thinking: Just like this, I will be able to speak badly to the Shramana Gautama, be arrogant, argue, and bear a grudge. Then he said to the Blessed One like this: Like this, hey, Gautama, these Shakyas are only newly emerged, because they are a newly emerged caste, so to the Brahmins

They do not respect the lama, do not make drawings, do not use honorifics, and do not make offerings. Brahmin's son, have the Shakyas done you any slight harm? O Gautama, once I and a person named Khampo went to the territory of Kapilavastu (now in Nepal). The Shakyas and Shakya daughters went up to the pavilion and pointed at me with their fingers, saying, 'The disciple of Brahmin Lotus Heart, the Brahmin boy is ugly! The disciple of Brahmin Lotus Heart, the Brahmin boy is ugly!' They only pointed at me with their fingers, and did not give me respect, did not respect the lama, did not use honorifics, and did not make offerings. Brahmin boy, even a small bird chirps as it pleases in its own nest, let alone the Shakyas! Brahmin boy, let's say that this territory of Kapilavastu is the Shakyas' own. O Gautama, there are four castes: Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya, and Shudra. Like this, O Gautama, these four castes respect Brahmins, respect them as lamas, use honorifics, and make offerings. However, these Shakyas are only newcomers, and because they are a newcomer caste, they do not respect Brahmins, do not respect them as lamas, do not use honorifics, and do not make offerings. Then, the Blessed One thought to himself: Alas, the Brahmin boy Ugly said to the Shakyas, alas, the Shakyas are newcomers! Alas, the Shakyas are a newcomer caste! Since he is speaking so harshly, I should search for his previous lineage. So, the Blessed One searched for the previous lineage of the Brahmin boy Ugly, and saw that the Brahmin boy Ugly was the son of a Shakya slave girl, and the Shakyas were the sons of his master. Then, the Blessed One said these words to the Brahmin boy Ugly: O Brahmin boy, what is your caste? O Gautama, I am the son of Unblinking. Brahmin boy, if you search for your previous lineage from here, you will see that you are the son of a Shakya slave girl, and the Shakyas are the sons of the master. Discipline
