She shrieked with joy and delight, woke up Big Ears who was asleep, hid him under the bed, and came to open the door. She deceived her husband, pretending to be sad, opened the door, and, weeping, embraced his neck, offered sacrifices and food. The Brahmin ate, thinking, "She must be infatuated with another man, that's why she prepared such a lavish meal tonight." He was an upright man, and asked her, "Beautiful wife, if it's not a festival or a city celebration, how did you get such beautiful clothes?" She said, "The god told me that your husband would return today, so I prepared these for you." The Brahmin said, "Alas, I am truly blessed, the god even appeared in my wife's dream!"
