If for some reason, you were asked to go to the town at the foot of Mount Pūrṇakaccha, drive five hundred cows, and send milk, yogurt, ghee, and curd from these cows, where have you (J01,Vo11,Po61A) seen or heard of a cow giving birth after becoming pregnant? After saying this, the king laughed and asked: Is he called Gampo the wise, or is he called the great physician, or what? The messenger replied: He is called the great physician. The king and ministers were all very surprised. Later, in order to test him, the king sent a messenger with a mule to the town at the foot of Mount Pūrṇakaccha, telling Gampo: Do not tie up this mule, take good care of it; do not let it enter a covered place, feed it well. The messenger went to the town at the foot of Mount Pūrṇakaccha in order, and said to Gampo: You must take good care of this mule, and if it is lost due to your negligence, you will be severely punished physically. He was very frightened after hearing these words, thinking: Everything can be done, but this one thing cannot. He ordered me like this, even the gods cannot complete it safely. He sat there very worried. The great physician saw that he was very worried, and said: Do not be unhappy. Then, during the day he let the mule graze freely, and at night he surrounded it with twenty people, five people in each group, taking turns on duty, each person grabbing the mule's limbs, and there was always one person riding on the mule. In this way, twenty people guarded it in an uncovered place. The king sent a person in charge of conveying orders to Gampo to see how he was taking care of it. After seeing it, that person reported to the king: God, he is doing it this way. The king said: If it is guarded like this, it cannot escape, so seduce one of those people. The minister asked: Which one should be seduced? The king said: Seduce the one who rides on the mule at night, and when the others fall asleep, bring him and the mule back together. 当（人们）说“他逃跑了”的时候，（他）就害怕地说：“如今我的生活变得糟糕了”，并且哀号，不知该如何是好，（他）不高兴地待着。大医师看到后，也放在心上，心想：“所有那些方法，如果用方法来完成，这个方法也不是不可能的。”他也很害怕，从心中想出那个方法，对父亲说：“如果你能完成那件事，就有一个方法。”父亲问：“有什么方法？”大医师说：“只要你能忍受被我稍微抬高一点，就能完成这件事。”然后那个人说：“只要我的生活不被剥夺，就那样做吧。”然后，大医师把父亲的头剃成七撮头发，用勒朱、墨扎、靛青木和白色等颜料在头上画上图案，让他骑在驴子上，逐渐进入大城市，到处宣扬：“大医师来了！”人们也传言：“他把父亲的头剃成七撮头发，骑在驴子上来了。”然后，国王和大臣们听到这件事后说：“他很聪明！他很贤明！”所有美好的话语都传开了，（心想）“好是好，但为什么要做这种不合情理的事呢？”然后，国王带着大臣和随从去见大医师，（心想）“是真的像那样来了吗？还是假的？”国王和随从亲眼看到那样的情况，大臣们对国王说：“神啊，为什么赞扬大医师聪明！英明！贤明！他竟然做这种不合情理的事！”然后，国王问大医师：“大医师，你为什么这样抬高你的父亲？”他回答说：“神啊，这不是抬高，而是供养，因为我也比父亲知道得多得多，所以我这样供养他。”国王说：“是你好呢？还是父亲好？”他说：“我好，父亲不好。”国王说：“儿子比父亲好，我哪里也没听说过，也没见过，父亲是让儿子出名的，母亲是养育和生育的。”

When (people) said, "He has run away," (he) was afraid and said, "Now my life has become terrible," and wailed, not knowing what to do, (he) stayed unhappily. The great physician saw this and took it to heart, thinking, "All those methods, if accomplished with methods, this method is not impossible." He was also afraid, and from his heart came up with that method, saying to his father, "If you can accomplish that matter, there is one method." The father asked, "What method is there?" The great physician said, "As long as you can bear to be slightly elevated by me, then the matter will be accomplished." Then that person said, "As long as my life is not taken away, do it that way." Then, the great physician shaved his father's head into seven tufts of hair, and painted patterns on his head with le-zhu, ink-tza, indigo wood, and white colors, etc., and made him ride on a donkey, gradually entering the great city, proclaiming everywhere, "The great physician is coming!" People also spread the word, "He shaved his father's head into seven tufts of hair and came riding on a donkey." Then, the king and ministers heard about this and said, "He is wise! He is virtuous!" All good words spread, (thinking) "It is good, but why do such an unreasonable thing?" Then, the king, with his ministers and attendants, went to see the great physician, (thinking) "Is it true that he came like that? Or is it false?" The king and his attendants saw such a situation with their own eyes, and the ministers said to the king, "Lord, why praise the great physician as wise! Brilliant! Virtuous! He is doing such an unreasonable thing!" Then, the king asked the great physician, "Great physician, why did you elevate your father like this?" He replied, "Lord, this is not elevation, but offering, because I also know much more than my father, so I am offering him in this way." The king said, "Are you good? Or is your father good?" He said, "I am good, my father is not good." The king said, "I have never heard or seen anywhere that a son is better than his father, the father makes the son famous, the mother nurtures and raises him."
