Because he desired and greatly delighted in the kingdom, this young man was named "Greatly Delighted in the Kingdom." Then, he was entrusted to eight wet nurses, who nurtured him by swaddling, wiping, washing, with milk, honey, and clarified butter. However, no matter when he grew up, he was not made the crown prince. Then, his maternal grandfather, the King of Sunlight, sent a messenger to King Skye pa (སྐྱེད་པ་, literally: the one who causes to grow), the king of noble body, saying: "If my grandson, the one who is greatly delighted in the kingdom, is not made the crown prince, I will equip my four-part army and come to you." Having heard the messenger's words, he was frightened and uneasy. Then, the ministers, realizing that King Skye pa (སྐྱེད་པ་, literally: the one who causes to grow) was frightened and unhappy, said: "Lord, why are you so displeased?" Skye pa (སྐྱེད་པ་, literally: the one who causes to grow) said: "The King of Sunlight sent a messenger for his grandson, and the messenger said this: 'If my grandson is not installed as the crown prince, I will come and remove you from the throne and install my grandson.'" Then the ministers said: "Lord, grant the means for the one who is greatly delighted in the kingdom to become the crown prince, and we will kill this young man." Then King Skye pa (སྐྱེད་པ་, literally: the one who causes to grow) said to the ministers: "Do not speak such unrighteous words! In this way, here one hears of a son killing a father, but not of a father killing a son, so I will never do that." They said: "If you do not kill him, then we will make him disabled." Then King Skye pa (སྐྱེད་པ་, literally: the one who causes to grow) said to the ministers: "If you make him disabled, that is the same as killing him." Then the ministers, having heard the words of King Skye pa (སྐྱེད་པ་, literally: the one who causes to grow), said to the king: "Lord, what else can be done to him? Let us banish him!" The king said: "How can he be banished without any fault?" The ministers said: "In any case, without delaying for long, find a way for the young man to commit a fault! For the time being, apply some means to the one who is greatly delighted in the kingdom! Then the young man will have to seek food for himself." Then King Skye pa (སྐྱེད་པ་, literally: the one who causes to grow), on an auspicious day, having spoken auspicious and blessed words to the sun of power,

(The king), being very pleased with the kingdom, bestowed the method of the crown prince. When the young prince Zabung heard that the method had been bestowed, he thought: 'The gods have abandoned me, so what good is it for me to stay here now? I will be killed.' Thinking this, he went to his mother and told her the unpleasant story, saying: 'Please know that I am going to the land of King Lnga Len.' Then she also experienced various kinds of suffering, enduring the pain of separation from her son. She embraced her son's neck and cried out in sorrow, saying: 'Decorated with a cushion of Dugul silk, comfortably sleeping on a large bed, how will my only son now sleep on the bare ground, with one corner of a cloth spread out? Having slept comfortably in bed, awakened by various kinds of music and songs, how can his radiant body be happy in the forest when splashed with cold and hot water? Deprived of the food and drink, beds, mounts, and supreme vehicles that the king used to grant, as well as unguents, ornaments, and clothes, by whose power will he wander in suffering? By the assemblies of beings who meet the world, with palms joined together, the sounds of drums and songs, offered with pleasing music to the mind and ears, where will he wander while parched with thirst?' The young man said: 'Who is there who is always happy? Who is there who is always suffering? Who is there who has not encountered misfortune? Who is there who will not attain happiness? By the power of change, people experience happiness and suffering, just as the wheel of stars revolves in the sky. Do not rejoice in happiness, nor be unhappy in suffering, for this is the sign of the lineage of kings.' He made his mother understand many such reasons, and then went to where the land of Lnga Len was. Having arrived there, near the village, because his body was tired and hungry, he lay down in the shade of a tree. After a while, because of some affairs of the king, one of the servants of Lnga Len came to that side, and seeing the prince Zabung lying in the shade, said: 'This person is so handsome, so attractive, so sturdy, so strong, so well-proportioned, with such a large upper body, and such long arms, who is this man?'
