因此成了依靠。那時比丘們生起疑惑，說：世尊薄伽梵證得無上正等圓滿菩提後，從迎請人類殊勝的神變奇蹟，降伏了一切外道，使之失敗，讓他們背過身，使之沒有了自信。請看！世尊說道：比丘們，現在我已脫離貪欲，脫離嗔恨，脫離愚癡，脫離生、老、病、死、憂愁、悲歎、痛苦、不悅和煩惱，成為一切智者，一切相智者，獲得了對知識和所知一切的自在，是調御丈夫者，是無上調御師，證得了無上正等圓滿菩提，降伏了一切外道，使之失敗，讓他們背過身，使之沒有了自信，這有什麼稀奇的？過去世我還沒有脫離貪欲，還沒有脫離嗔恨，還沒有脫離愚癡，還沒有脫離生、老、病、死、憂愁、悲歎、痛苦、不悅和煩惱時，也曾降伏了這六位導師及其眷屬，使之失敗，讓他們背過身，使之沒有了自信，懲罰他們，讓他們在邊地安身。說說這個吧，好好地聽，牢記在心！比丘們，過去世，在名為身勝的國土上，有一位名為增長（Skye-pa）的國王，他的王國繁榮昌盛……使之實行，使之繁榮。之後，增長國王娶了一位容貌端莊、美麗、悅意的妃子，與她一同嬉戲，一同歡樂，一同享受快樂。之後，那位妃子懷孕了，漸漸地過了九個月，生下了一個容貌端莊、悅意、美麗的男孩。那個孩子出生的時候，身勝國土五穀豐登，飲食充足，天神也降下了雨。

The Blessed One said: "Monks, now I am free from desire, free from hatred, free from delusion, free from birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, displeasure, and turmoil, and I am completely liberated. I am the all-knowing one, the all-aspect-knowing one, having obtained mastery over all knowledge and knowable things, the tamer of men, the charioteer, having attained the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, I have subdued all the heretics, defeated them, made them turn their backs, and made them without confidence. What is so amazing about this? In the past, when I was not free from desire, not free from hatred, not free from delusion, not free from birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, displeasure, and turmoil, I also subdued these six teachers and their retinues, defeated them, made them turn their backs, and made them without confidence, punished them, and made them settle in the border regions. Monks, in the past, in the country called Body-Excellent, there was a king called Increase (Skye-pa), whose kingdom was prosperous and flourishing... causing it to be done, causing it to flourish. Then, King Increase took a queen who was beautiful, lovely, and pleasing to look at, and he played with her, rejoiced with her, and enjoyed pleasure together. Then, that queen became pregnant, and gradually after nine months, she gave birth to a boy who was beautiful, pleasing to look at, and lovely. When that youth was born, the Body-Excellent country had good harvests, and food and drink were plentiful, and even the gods rained.
