Nagu bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and sat down to one side. The Blessed One, understanding his thoughts, habits, faculties, and nature, taught him the Dharma accordingly. As soon as the young prince Nagu heard this, he realized the truth, attained the fruit of non-return, and also gained miraculous powers. King Prasenajit of Kosala heard that the venerable Kundga had, with truthful words, restored the limbs of the young prince Nagu to their former state. Having heard this, he went to where the young prince Nagu was, and having arrived, he said to the young prince Nagu: Young man, come, let us go home. He said: O deva, I attend upon the Blessed One and am here. Very well, do so, he settled down in Kundga's garden. While he was staying there, the fragments of his limbs grew back, so his name became known as the Fragmented Garden One, the Fragmented Garden One. Then, King Prasenajit of Kosala went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and sat down to one side. Having sat down to one side, King Prasenajit of Kosala said to the Blessed One: If the Blessed One permits, I will build a great miracle-display assembly hall from Shravasti to as far as Jeta Grove. The Blessed One replied: Great king, very well, do it, and there will undoubtedly be a great gathering of people there. Having prepared there, for the Blessed One, a golden lion throne adorned and embellished with vajra, vaiḍūrya, emerald, coral, jewel, pearl, andanda-nil, great beryl, and padmarāga. The heretical householders also made six assembly halls covered with cloths, according to their wealth. They also arranged six seats, and the heretics, surrounded by their retinues, came and sat there first, and then sent a messenger to the king, saying, 'O King, we are here, please invite the śramaṇa Gautama.' Go to where the Blessed One is, and upon arriving, bow your head at the feet of the Blessed One, and ask on my behalf, 'Are you well? Are you free from trouble? Are you comfortable? Are you nourished? Do you abide in strength and ease? Are you free from fault?' And also report, 'Those heretical monks have gathered.' Please also inform the Blessed One to consider that the time has come. O King, please report in this way.'
