Having completely passed into nirvana in the realm of Dharma, King Kṛkī, his queen, prince, ministers, and the people of the palace retinue, with great reverence, made offerings to his relics and built a stupa of four kinds of precious materials, one yojana in circumference and half a yojana in height. Then, a merchant's daughter developed faith and hung a mirror on the life-tree of the stupa. Monks, what do you think? That merchant's daughter who developed faith in the stupa of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light Protector (Kāśyapa) and hung a mirror on the life-tree is none other than this wife of the householder, Light Good Mother. At that time, at that time, due to the maturation of the karma of hanging a mirror on the life-tree of the stupa of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light Protector (Kāśyapa), she was born with light, and as soon as she was born, the whole house was illuminated by light. Also, listen to the story of how five hundred men gave five hundred kārṣāpaṇas after death and enjoyed themselves with joy. Monks, in the past, in the city of Bārāṇasī, a king named Brahma-datta ruled the kingdom. The kingdom was prosperous, J01,Vo11,Po32A and flourishing, peaceful, with good harvests, filled with people and many inhabitants, quarrels, disputes, internal strife, and conflicts were completely pacified, free from thieves and diseases, with abundant sālu, sugarcane, cattle, and buffaloes, and the king of Dharma ruled according to Dharma. At that time, in Bārāṇasī, there was a beauty named Bhadra who lived by her looks, beautiful in appearance, pretty, pleasing to the eye, pleasing to men, who had previously been enjoyed by the uncle of King Brahma-datta. Once, at another time, five hundred pleasure-seekers prepared many foods and drinks and went to the garden. The knowledgeable ones said to each other, "We have prepared all the enjoyments of the garden, but there are no women. Let's call some prostitutes." They said. "Very well, if we do that, who should we call?" "Let's call Bhadra." They went to Bhadra and said, "Bhadra, come here! Let's go to the garden!" She said.

She said, "If you give a thousand karshapanas (Sanskrit, karṣāpaṇa, Romanized Sanskrit, karshaapana, literal Chinese meaning: an ancient monetary unit), I will go, otherwise I will not." They said, "Take five hundred karshapanas, and after enjoying yourself with five hundred, give them away." She said, "Okay, do it that way." After they gave five hundred karshapanas, she said, "Come today dressed in fragrance, garlands, and clothes." They left. She felt remorse and thought, "If I enjoy myself with five hundred pleasure-seekers, what will my situation be like? I took five hundred karshapanas, what should I do now?" Then she had this thought: "I have been completely enjoyed by the king's uncle, so I can only seek refuge in him, not in anyone else." So she didn't send a maidservant, but went herself to the king's uncle, and after going, she said this: "I am bad, I took five hundred karshapanas from the pleasure-seekers, and there are five hundred of those pleasure-seekers. If I enjoy myself with five hundred pleasure-seekers, what will my situation be like? You have completely possessed me before, so you should save me from them." That woman went to him and said this, and he also relied on the king, so he snatched her from those people. When the Buddhas do not appear, the Pratyekabuddhas are compassionate to the inferior and the poor, they like remote dwellings, and they become the sole objects of offering in the world, they appear in the world. Then, a Pratyekabuddha traveled to Varanasi (Sanskrit, Vārāṇasī, Romanized Sanskrit, Varanasi, now Varanasi, India), that great one, with the nature of peace, dwelling in extreme solitude, while searching for an extremely solitary dwelling, went to that garden. Those pleasure-seekers saw her beautiful body and beautiful mind, and they thought, "Wherever we go, we should make offerings to such a field of merit," so they asked each other, filled the bowl with clean and delicious food, and offered it to him. Those great beings do not teach the Dharma with words, but teach the Dharma with their bodies, so they manifested miracles and burned in the sky above.
