有些人说：“这有什么可做的呢？明天不来就是了。”另一些人说：“有寿命者，我们是乞食者，所以明天去乞食就是了。”另一些人说：“是，很好，就这样做。”说完，他们第二天就去乞食了。过了多久，那个户主又来了，问光明母：“光明母，供养处都供养了吗？”她说：“来了一天，从那以后就再也没来过。”他心想：“一定是她在这群人面前显露女人的姿态，没有恭敬，所以他们感到羞愧才没来的。”于是他去到他们那里，再次邀请他们。他们说：“户主，我们是乞食者，所以要去乞食。”他说：“圣者，请您们来吧，不会有那样的过失的。”他们答应了，户主向他们的脚顶礼后就离开了。众比丘第二天来到他家，户主让光明母进屋，然后关上外门，从那以后，他亲自用手给他们分发食物。光明母在屋里待着，那些吃食物的比丘们生起了分别念，心想：某位圣者的脚是这样的，小腿是这样的，大腿是这样的，腰和肋骨和背和肚子和脸和牙齿和嘴唇和鼻子和眼睛和额头和头是这样的。他们就这样分别念着，生起了第十地的贪欲之火，分别念的风势猛烈地煽动着它，于是他们昏厥过去，当即就死了。众比丘吃完食物，说了随喜，然后离开了。户主打开门说：“光明母，过来吃饭。”但那时她已经去世了，谁来回答呢？他进到屋里，看到她倒在地上。他心想：“不是鬼吃了她，而是睡着了，把她叫醒吧。”于是他开始摇动她，过了一会儿，他发现她已经去世了，她的脸色发黑，嘴角下垂，于是他对家里人说：“有见识的人们，看看我。”

Some said, "What is there to do about this? They simply won't come tomorrow." Others said, "Venerable ones, we are almsmen, so we will simply go for alms tomorrow." Others said, "Yes, very well, let it be so." Having said this, they went for alms the next day. After some time, the householder came again and asked Light-Mother, "Light-Mother, have the worthy ones been offered food?" She said, "They came one day, and have not come at all since then." He thought, "Surely, she showed womanly gestures before them and did not show respect, so they were ashamed and did not come." So he went to them and invited them again. They said, "Householder, we are almsmen, so we will go for alms." He said, "Noble ones, please come, there will be no such fault." They agreed, and the householder bowed to their feet and left. The monks came to his house the next day, and the householder had Light-Mother brought into the house and closed the outer door, and then he began to distribute food to them himself. While Light-Mother was sitting inside the house, those monks who were eating the food developed thoughts, thinking: 'The foot of such and such a noble one is like this, the shin is like this, the thigh is like this, the waist and ribs and back and belly and face and teeth and lips and nose and eyes and forehead and head are like this.' As they thought in this way, the fire of desire of the tenth ground arose, and the force of the wind of thought fanned it, so they fainted and died on the spot J01,Vo11,Po30B. The monks ate the food, said the dedication, and left. The householder opened the door and said, "Light-Mother, come and eat the food," but at that time she had passed away, so who would answer? He entered the house and saw her fallen on the ground. He thought, "A demon has not eaten her, but she has fallen asleep, let me wake her up." So he began to shake her, and after a while he saw that she had passed away, her face was black, and her lips were drooping, so he said to the people in the house, "Knowledgeable ones, look at me."

The wicked man said, "Since such a precious wife has passed away, quickly tell the friends, brothers, and relatives, 'Light-Virtuous Woman has passed away.'" Upon hearing this, they raised a great clamor. Some fell to the ground weeping, while others grabbed the weeping householder's hands and feet. Some friends, brothers, and relatives emitted sobbing sounds. Because the householder had a large circle of relatives and friends, they wept until the sun set. Then, they adorned the bier with blue, yellow, red, and white cloths and carried her to the cemetery with great respect. After a while, about five hundred wild men went to a small mountain to hunt. They were successful in their hunt and returned, coming not far from the cemetery. A man living in the city saw them and thought, "If the large crowd that came from the city to escort Light-Virtuous Woman to the cemetery were harmed by those wild men in an improper way, that would not be good." So he quickly went and told the large crowd, "Wise ones, about five hundred wild men are not far from here, flee!" They also said, "Tomorrow we will perform a ritual." So they left guards and abandoned Light-Virtuous Woman, who was covered with various ornaments, as well as incense, perfumes, clothes, flour, umbrellas, banners, and flags, as if discarding vomit, and fled back into the city. Not long after, those wild men J01,Vo11,Po31A went to that place, and the guards fled. The wild men saw the elaborately decorated corpse and were greatly amazed. Then, they stripped off Light-Virtuous Woman's clothes and looked at her. They saw her body was young and beautiful and became very enamored, saying, "Wise ones, wherever we go, we can only enjoy pleasure with such a woman." So they enjoyed pleasure with her and left five hundred karshapanas. The corpse of Light-Virtuous Woman was also given five hundred karshapanas by five hundred men, and they all enjoyed pleasure together. Such a sound spread everywhere. Auspicious!
