and also the special features of various main utensils, nourishing and growing, growing rapidly like a lotus in a pond. When she grew up, she possessed a beautiful figure, youth, appearance, elegance, and artistic talents, and like a forest goddess in a forest of blooming flowers, she appeared very beautiful in that house. The special features of her figure, youth, complexion, demeanor, and way of living, even attracted those ascetics who had detached themselves from desire through worldly ways, let alone those who had accumulated afflictions from beginningless time and were arrogant and complacent due to their caste, figure, youth, and power. That householder also, with his family retinue, devoted himself to guarding her and did not even sleep. King Bright King of Kosala, with his queen's retinue, young men, ministers, and palace personnel, and also other kings dwelling in the leaves, sons of ministers, and sons of attendants, etc., all wanted to marry her, but because the seer had prophesied that the daughter of light would enjoy happiness with five hundred men, no one married her for fear of worldly criticism. She also sat on the latticed windows, windows, balconies, and rooftops of her house, thinking about who would propose marriage, and watched those men. When that householder saw her behavior, even if he did not propose marriage to others who matched his own caste, he still intended to give her away in the same way, but no one was able to accept. After that, that householder became unhappy because no one wanted her, gave up all affairs, and thought about the method of giving her away, and his body became gray, thin, haggard, and his neck became thin. At that time, in Sravasti, there lived a wealthy householder who had much wealth and enjoyment, and he married a wife of his own caste, but she died due to her own karma. Similarly, he married a second, a third, up to the seventh, and they also died due to their own karma. Those people also did the karma that leads to a short life, and he also did the karma that leads to poverty.

That place became known as Wife-Killer, Wife-Killer. He proposed to others, and they said, 'Why kill our daughters?' He began to propose to widows, and they also said, 'Why abandon our bodies?' Everyone refused him, and even though he had no wife, he still desired one, cutting off his hopes of having a wife. He then began to associate with ascetics, Brahmins, practitioners, and wanderers. His father was a Buddhist layman, and he thought, 'If my father is a Buddhist layman, what use are ascetics, Brahmins, practitioners, and wanderers to me? I should serve the disciples of the Blessed One, do things for them, and become ordained there.' So he went to Jeta Grove again and again. After some time, a friend saw him and said, 'Friend, you go to Jeta Grove again and again, why don't you try to become ordained?' The friend said, 'Even if I am already ordained, why would I need to be ordained again? I took one wife, but she died because of her own karma.' Similarly, the second, third, up to the seventh also died because of their own karma. They also did deeds that would lead to a short life. I also did deeds that would lead to punishment, so my name became Wife-Killer, Wife-Killer, and I am discouraged. It is necessary to serve the monks, this is my father's custom, and if I don't do this, who should I serve?' He said, 'Friend, that is also true, but you must have children, otherwise the lineage will be cut off, why don't you marry someone else's daughter?' He said, 'Friend, what's the use? Whoever I propose to, they will say, 'Why kill our daughters?'' He said, 'Friend, if that's the case, what's wrong with marrying a widow?' He said, 'Friend, if I propose, they will also say, 'Why completely abandon my body?'' He said, 'Friend, if that's the case, why not marry Light-Virtuous Woman?' He said, 'Friend, what will that person who is known throughout the world say?'
