He said: God, entertainers and soldiers, doctors, thieves, jailers, even if they become poor, they will plunder wealth. Haven't you heard of such things? The king said: Herdsman, because you killed the cowherd's cow, you should not speak. He said: God, too rich and too poor, low and too high, too long and too near, these six should not speak. Have you not heard such words? The king said: Why did you kill the untamed ox, causing J01,Vo11,Po21B me to be without desire? He said: O deity, Have you not heard of the eight things that are not desirable? What are the eight? Sickness, old age, and death, Separation from the pleasant, meeting with the unpleasant, Hailstorms, impermanence, Eight are the world's undesirable things. The king said: Why did you kill the untamed ox, causing me to feel pervasive torment towards you? He said: O deity, Have you not heard of the nine ways to subdue pervasive torment? What are the nine? O deity, this one desires to harm me, desires what is not beneficial, desires what is not happiness, desires what is not touch, desires what is not accomplishment and happiness, thinking, 'This one has done, is doing, and will do desire to me.' And again, he thinks thus: 'It is not right for me to change like this compared to others, so I should change like this,' thinking, 'How can this be accomplished?' Thus thinking, he dispels the pervasive torment that arises in him. This is someone who desires to harm me, desires what is not beneficial, desires what is not happiness, desires what is not knowledge, desires what is not accomplishment and happiness, desiring to harm him, desiring what is not beneficial, desiring what is not happiness, desiring what is not touch, desiring what is not accomplishment and happiness, thinking, 'This one has done, is doing, and will do harm to him.'
