Oh gods! Trusting the unfamiliar, relying on the untamed, and completely indulging in trivial matters are the three characteristics of a child. Haven't you heard such words? The king said: Why do you raise cattle, yet you killed the untamed one? You are alienating friends. He said: Oh gods! Not relying on friends, secondly, relying too much, and asking at the wrong time, these will alienate friends. Haven't you heard such words? The king said: Why do you raise cattle, yet you killed the untamed one? You are a lowly person. He said: Oh gods! Always coveting the property of others, and hoping to gain benefits for oneself, and similarly enjoying suffering, these three are lowly people. Haven't you heard such words? The king said: Why do you raise cattle, yet you killed the untamed one? You are to be crushed by the chariot wheel. He said: Oh gods! A painter who is not good at using colors, a wheel maker who is not good at making joints, and the son of a strongman who is not good at throwing, those who are meant to be killed can never avoid being killed. Haven't the gods heard such words? The king said: Why do you raise cattle, yet you killed the untamed one? You are a cunning person. He said: Oh gods! A woman who has gone through three husbands, a monk who has returned to lay life, and a bird that has escaped from a cage, these three are the worst cunning among the cunning. Haven't you heard such words? The summary is: Difficult to obtain and others, accumulating and discord, beating and non-existence, unsuitability is meaningless. You raise cattle but killed the difficult to obtain. He said: Oh gods! A rabbit with horns is difficult to obtain, a turtle with fur is difficult to obtain, a prostitute staying alone, and an upright arbitrator speaking are difficult to obtain. Haven't you heard such words? The king said: You raise cattle but killed the untamed one for the sake of others. He said: Oh gods! A full container and a yoke, and the four great ones of cunning people, and a mediator with a dull mind, these four will become bad for the sake of others.

Haven't you heard? The king said, 'Hey, why did you kill the tame one who tends the cattle, leaving me all alone?' He said, 'O god, one is born alone at birth, and likewise, one dies alone at death. A single person experiences suffering here, and there are no friends in samsara.' Haven't you heard? The king said, 'Hey, you killed the tame one who tends the cattle, who had accumulated wealth.' He said, 'O god, fish eggs and mango blossoms, and the pursuit of suffering, just like autumn clouds, accumulated wealth also becomes meaningless.' Haven't you heard? The king said, 'Hey, you killed the tame one who tends the cattle, so you are discordant.' He said, 'O god, the sun is discordant with the shade, light and darkness, day and night are discordant, dharma and non-dharma are always opposed.' Haven't you heard? The king said, 'Hey, you killed the tame one who tends the cattle, so you should be beaten.' He said, 'O god, clothes become soft when beaten, donkeys become faster when beaten, women become submissive when beaten, drums cannot make sound unless beaten.' Haven't you heard? The king said, 'Hey, you killed the tame one who tends the cattle, so you should be destroyed.' He said, 'O god, the wind blows away chaff, the sound of the crowd is like a song, associating with evil people makes virtues disappear.' Haven't you heard? The king said, 'Hey, you killed the tame one who tends the cattle, so you are unsuitable.' He said, 'O god, a king who speaks falsely, a doctor and practitioner who quarrel, and a wise person who is ignorant, these four are unsuitable.' Haven't you heard? The king said, 'Hey, you killed the tame one who tends the cattle for no reason.' He said, 'O god, blowing out a lamp during the day is meaningless, and raining on the ocean is also meaningless.'
