Rato. Nala Dada, knowing his physical condition, paid homage to his feet and said: Abbot, all those who have slightly renounced are seeking nectar for the sake of nectar. Therefore, if you, venerable one, have obtained nectar, please also share a portion of nectar with me. He said: Child, I am also one of those who have slightly renounced, seeking nectar for the sake of nectar, but I have not found nectar. However, renounce in the presence of the young man born among the Shakyas, do not be arrogant about your lineage, do not be arrogant about your bloodline, do not be arrogant about being the son of a Brahmin, abandon pride, practice pure conduct, and then you will obtain nectar. Having said this, he said: All accumulations will eventually be exhausted, all heights will eventually fall, all meetings will eventually be separated, and all living will eventually die. Thus, he became endowed with the Dharma of time. He made offerings of bones to his bones, and then went to the city of Varanasi and lived among the ascetics. He shared the same lineage as Nala Dada, so his name became known as the ascetic Nala Dada. The young Radiance was cared for by eight wet nurses, two who nurtured him in their laps, two who fed him milk, two who wiped away dirt, and two who were playmates. These eight wet nurses nurtured him with milk, yogurt, ghee, white butter, ghee essence, and other major special items, so that he grew vigorously like a lotus growing in a lake. When he became an adult, he learned letters, numbers, arithmetic, crafts, and the rituals of kings crowning royalty, gaining the power and strength to rule the country, and how to pacify and rule the great earth. He also learned various crafts and skills, such as: riding elephants, riding horses, maneuvering chariots, swordsmanship, throwing, retreating, advancing, manipulating with hooks, throwing ropes, shooting giant arrows, cutting, splitting, holding, footwork, and scattered formations.

Hitting from afar, hitting to make a sound, Hitting the mark, hitting without missing, becoming skilled in those important matters, and also becoming proficient in the five sciences. When the Bodhisattva Bhagavan displayed youthful play, the youth Rab Snang also played at the peak of youth. When the Bodhisattva was enthroned as regent, the youth Rab Snang was also enthroned as regent. When the Bodhisattva saw the old, the sick, and the dead and became weary, he abandoned sixty thousand women, headed by Sa 'Tsho Ma, Ri Dwags Skye, and Grags 'Dzin Ma, and at midnight went to the forest of asceticism. From the hermits who were liberated from the aspects of above and below, he caused detachment from desire from the desire realm, detachment from desire from the form realm, and from the son of pleasure-conduct, the remaining conduct, up to the birthplace of nothingness in the formless realm, detachment from desire, and because there was no teaching, he thought that asceticism was permissible, and after practicing asceticism for six years, he did not gain special realization. He also inhaled and exhaled uncomfortably. He also ate coarse grains and warm porridge. He also anointed his body with white butter and sesame oil. He also bathed with water that was moderately cold and warm, and then went to a village called Sde Grong, and from the daughters named Ga' Mo and Ga' Stobs, he received milk porridge with honey, which had been refined sixteen times, and ate it. The Naga king Black praised him, and from the grass seller Tashi, he received auspicious grass, and then went to the Bodhi tree. He himself spread the grass without disturbing or tangling it, and then sat in the lotus position, straightened his body, set his mind manifestly, and vowed and said that as long as he had not attained the exhaustion of defilements, he would not break the lotus position. Therefore, as long as he had not attained the exhaustion of defilements, he would not break the lotus position. When the Bhagavan, with the sword of loving-kindness, defeated the hosts of demons with a retinue of sixty crore demons, he attained unsurpassed wisdom. Urged by Brahma, he went to the city of Varanasi and repeated it three times.
