From "becoming two, and not other" onwards, the sound appears in the world, possessing the thirty-two marks of a great man. Narada said: Abbot Bodhisattva has gone to Kapilavastu, and has also been named, now returning to visit. He said: Son, very well, let it be done. The two of them traveled by means of magical power. Due to the power of the Bodhisattva, their magical power disappeared, and they could only walk into Kapilavastu, going to King Suddhodana's palace, arriving at the palace gate. Then, the white ascetic said to a person: Hey, you come here, go and tell King Suddhodana that the white ascetic wants to see the god, and is waiting at the door. That person went and told King Suddhodana: The god white ascetic wants to see the god, and is waiting at the palace gate. The king said: Wise ones, do not stop the white ascetic, let him come in. After he entered, King Suddhodana greeted him with courtesies such as "welcome," offered water for washing his feet, and had him sit on a lion throne. Then, King Suddhodana touched his feet and said: Great ascetic, why have you come? He said in verse: Great king, I have come to see your son, the lord of the world, the guide, the able one. King Suddhodana said: Great ascetic, the prince is sleeping. He said: Even in sleep, I will see him. King Suddhodana said: Great ascetic, very well, please do so, please look. He went and saw the Bodhisattva looking at various things without blinking his eyes. Having seen this, he also said in verse: The tamer of the lineage is pure, like sleep at noon, for those who seek necessary things, the eyes do not sleep for long. After speaking, he also said: God, has the prince been shown to the Brahmins, diviners, and astrologers? He said: Great ascetic, he has been shown. What did those gods say?

In that place, a prophecy was given. King Śuddhodana said, "He will become a Chakravartin king." He began to examine the Bodhisattva in various ways, and when he saw that the Bodhisattva possessed the marks of a Buddha, he began to think about when he would attain the nectar. He saw that the Bodhisattva would renounce his home at the age of twenty-nine, practice austerities for six years, and then attain the nectar. Then, he began to contemplate his own destiny, and seeing that he would die in the meantime, he developed a craving for sensual pleasures. With tears in his eyes, he spoke in verse: "The wisdom of the lords of the earth, the logicians, is confused. A Chakravartin will not appear at the end of time. This one with supreme merit is a treasure of Dharma. Having conquered all faults, he will become a Buddha. Kings of men without clear marks will become rulers of the four continents. The all clear Thubwang (释迦能仁) will become a complete Buddha. The best of men will turn the wheel of Dharma." Then, the king saw him with tears in his eyes and felt uneasy and displeased, and again spoke in verse: "Wherever men and women meet, they will not be satiated, they will obtain joy. Seeing such a beautiful body and pleasing things here, why is your face covered with tears? Is my young man afraid of something, or is his life coming to an end? For this reason, quickly tell me this auspicious news. Your weeping makes me tremble." He also spoke in verse: "Even if a fierce rain of vajras were to fall from the sky upon him, it would not be able to move a single hair of the body of the Great Sage. The sharp, unbearable weapons, driven by the great wind, and the venomous snakes and extremely potent poisons, cannot harm the body of this young man. O King of men, I have met this supreme treasure of Dharma, but I will die without accomplishing its meaning. Unable to attain peace, seeing my own faults, that is why I weep. Those in the world, at what time, will be able to hear the Dharma spoken by this incomparable holy one, and having heard it, will attain great peace and supreme reward, and obtain happiness and merit."

Candan is free from epidemics. King Śuddhodana heard that the Bodhisattva had obtained nectar and remained silent. Those who are corrupted by wrong views are mostly liars and engage in all kinds of deception, so the sage White Man said: O gods, the people living in your city think, alas, how wonderful it would be if the sage White Man came to Kapilavastu on foot, they have been longing for this for a long time, and out of compassion for beings, I have come to Kapilavastu only on foot, please allow me to beautify the city only with my feet. King Śuddhodana instructed the ministers: Wise men, the sage White Man will come from the city on foot, let the city and roads be beautified, and proclaim: The people living in Kapilavastu and others who have come from various places, others also ask who is the sage White Man who will come from the city? The ministers replied: O gods, let it be done as you say. The ministers made the city of Kapilavastu free of stones, rubble, and pebbles. They sprinkled it with sandalwood water and placed incense burners that emitted fragrance. They hung many silk ribbons. They erected flags and banners. They scattered various flowers, making it even more joyful than the pleasure garden of the gods, like the Joyful Garden. After beautifying the city and roads in this way, they proclaimed: Wise men, listen, those who live in the city, and the royal family, and the people who have come from various places! The gods said this, the sage White Man will come from Kapilavastu on foot tomorrow, therefore all of you must ask who that is, so he ordered. When dawn came, the sage White Man, revered and escorted by thousands of people, came from Kapilavastu on foot. He passed through Ṛjikiskinda, and also generated meditative states, and also accomplished magical powers. At that time, the ripened karma was completely exhausted, and he was afflicted by illness, and even though he was treated with medicines of roots, stems, flowers, leaves, and fruits, that illness did not subside.
