They will be born equal to such beings. Those beings are born from the body, grow old in the body, and the time of death comes in the body. Joyful one, among the beings born among the animals, there are also those who are born in water, grow old in water, and the time of death comes in water. What are those? For example: fish and turtles, frogs and crocodiles, child-killing and creatures Valuka, and other beings who are born in water, grow old in water, and the time of death comes in water. To this, the ignorant ordinary person, who does not have the Dharma, is attached to the previous taste, commits evil deeds with the body, and commits evil deeds with speech and mind, will be born equal to such beings. Those beings are born in water, grow old in water, and the time of death comes in water. Joyful one, among the beings born among the animals, there are also those who smell the smell of feces and urine, think "This is to eat, this is to drink", and run there, running everywhere. What are those? For example: goats and sheep, geese and pigs, dogs and foxes, crows and insects, bees, and other beings who smell the smell of feces and urine, think "This is to eat, this is to drink", and run there, running everywhere. To this, the ignorant ordinary person, who does not have the Dharma, is attached to the previous smell, commits evil deeds with the body, and commits evil deeds with speech and mind, will be born equal to such beings. Those beings smell the smell of feces and urine, think "This is to eat, this is to drink", and run, running everywhere. Joyful one, among the beings born among the animals, there are also those who collect dry and wet grass with the tip of their tongue, cut it with their teeth and eat it. What are those? For example: elephants and horses, mules and cows, donkeys and deer, buffaloes and wild boars, and other beings who collect dry and wet grass with the tip of their tongue, cut it with their teeth and eat it. Joyful one, samsara is a beautiful loss.

Indeed, it is a good loss. All of these are burning. Completely burning, completely intensely burning, and becoming one flame. Kashyapa, furthermore, all are the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind, as well as forms, sounds, smells, tastes, touchables, and dharmas. Kashyapa, by what are all these completely burning, intensely burning, completely intensely burning, and becoming one flame? They are completely burning, completely intensely burning, and becoming one flame by the fire of desire, the fire of hatred, and the fire of delusion. By birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and agitation, they are also completely burning, and suffering is also completely burning, so it is said. Kashyapa, a lazy person who creates sinful, unwholesome dharmas, completely afflicted, an existent again, whose ripening is suffering, who will experience birth, old age, and death in the next life, being mixed with these, dwells in suffering. Kashyapa, having initiated diligence, possessing power, possessing diligence, being enthusiastic, overcoming others, being steadfast, not being timid, not abandoning diligence towards virtuous dharmas, dwells in happiness. Kashyapa, therefore, one should train like this: even if only skin, tendons, and bones remain of the body, that is fine. Even if the flesh and blood in the body dry up, that is fine, but alas, having initiated diligence, possessing power, possessing diligence, being enthusiastic, overcoming others, being steadfast, not being timid, not abandoning diligence towards virtuous dharmas, whatever should be attained, before it is attained, one should not abandon diligence in the meantime, Kashyapa, you should train like this. Kashyapa, I do not argue with the world, but the world argues with me. What is the reason for that? A speaker of Dharma does not argue with anyone, and does not argue by saying "I". It is not because of the tolerance of speculative views, not because of a body with merit, but I only speak of what I have personally seen, known, fully awakened to, and directly experienced. Kashyapa, what do you think?
