The Buddha Bhagavan was in Shravasti, residing in Anathapindika's Grove in Jeta's Grove. When the householder Anathapindika offered Jeta's Grove to the Sangha of the four directions, at that time he did not send a barber to say, "Shave the hair and beards of the noble ones!" etc., as before. Nanda said, "Good Face, do you shave hair with tweezers?" He said, "Venerable, that is my craft." Good Face: "If so, come here, shave!" He shaved the hair with tweezers, and Nanda said, "Shave again!" He shaved again, and he said, "Shave again!" He shaved again. Thus, he did not stop until the sun set, and afterwards he said, "Miser, you know nothing! Make it even like this, and then go!" etc., as before. The Bhagavan taught, "A bhikshu should not shave hair with tweezers." If a bhikshu shaves hair with tweezers, he commits a serious offense. The Bhagavan taught, "A bhikshu should not shave hair with tweezers." When sores appeared on the heads of the bhikshus, and the razor touched them, those bhikshus reported the situation to the Bhagavan, and the Bhagavan taught, "The hair around the sores should be shaved with tweezers, and the rest should be shaved with a razor." The Buddha Bhagavan was in Shravasti, residing in Anathapindika's Grove in Jeta's Grove. Then, the householder Anathapindika again sent a barber, etc., as before. "Good Face, do you know how to shave the hair of the pubic area?" He said, "Venerable, that is my craft."

是的。贤面，如果那样的话，过来，剃吧。圣者，怎么剃？贤面，漂亮地剃吧。他开始剃的时候，近喜（阿难）说道：贤面，这样弄。他那样做了之后，又说：也像那样弄。这样，他一直弄到太阳下山，（他们）不放过，（人们）就诋毁说：沙迦族释迦子们的修行之法，衰败了；梵天的修行之法，衰败了；现在，连隐秘部位的毛发也要剃了。他们进行谩骂、嘲笑、恶语相向。那时，众比丘向世尊禀告，世尊开示说：因此，比丘不应剃阴部的毛发。比丘如果剃阴部的毛发，就会犯重罪。世尊开示说：比丘不应剃阴部的毛发。众比丘的阴部生了疮，众比丘后悔了，不再剃毛发。其他比丘又生了虫子，他们因受其害，不能做善事。那时，众比丘向世尊禀告，世尊开示说：比丘们，可以给年长的比丘们看，为了疮或虫子，可以剃阴部的毛发，对此不必后悔。佛陀世尊在舍卫城，住在逝多林给孤独园。之后，给孤独长者又派了剃发匠，（内容）如前所述，直到“叫做”之间。贤面，你擅长剃毛发吗？圣者，那正是我的手艺。贤面，如果那样的话，过来，剃吧。圣者，怎么剃呢？贤面，漂亮地剃吧。他开始剃的时候，近喜（阿难）说道：贤面，这样弄。他那样做了之后，又说：也像那样弄。他一直弄到黄昏，给孤独长者问他，（内容）如前。

Yes. Good-looking, if that's the case, come here, shave. Venerable, how to shave? Good-looking, shave beautifully. When he started shaving, Near-Joy (Ananda) said: Good-looking, do it like this. After he did that, he said again: Also do it like that. In this way, he kept doing it until sunset, (they) did not let go, (people) then slandered saying: The practice of the Shakya sons of the Shakya clan has declined; the practice of Brahma has declined; now, even the hair of the secret parts is going to be shaved. They were cursing, mocking, and speaking harshly. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One instructed: Therefore, a monk should not shave the hair of the pubic area. If a monk shaves the hair of the pubic area, he will commit a serious offense. The Blessed One instructed: A monk should not shave the hair of the pubic area. The monks had sores in their pubic area, and the monks regretted it and no longer shaved their hair. Other monks also had worms, and because of the harm they suffered, they could not do good deeds. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One instructed: Monks, you can show it to the senior monks, and for the sake of sores or worms, you can shave the hair of the pubic area, and you don't have to regret it. The Buddha, the Blessed One, was in Shravasti, residing in the Jeta Grove Anathapindika's Garden. After that, the householder Anathapindika again sent a barber, (the content) is as before, up to "called". Good-looking, are you good at shaving hair? Venerable, that is precisely my craft. Good-looking, if that's the case, come here, shave. Venerable, how should I shave? Good-looking, shave beautifully. When he started shaving, Near-Joy (Ananda) said: Good-looking, do it like this.
