These, arising from the maturation of previous karma, initiated entirely by the great elements within, becoming proximate causes, possessing mutually causative factors, rely on the earth element, are gathered by the water element, are fully ripened by the fire element, and are moved by the wind element, thus increasing and widening, and becoming vast. Joyful one, for example, if an oil presser or a student of an oil presser polishes molasses and burns it with fire, and blows air into the hollows of lotus roots, then those will increase and expand, and become wide. Joyful one, similarly, these, arising from the maturation of previous karma, initiated entirely by the great elements within, becoming proximate causes, possessing mutually causative factors, rely on the earth element, are gathered by the water element, are fully ripened by the fire element, and are moved by the wind element, then they will increase and widen and become vast. Joyful one, one should not regard the tender body as the impurity of parents, not from the father's waist, not from the mother's womb, not from that karma, not from that cause, not from that condition, although it is so. Joyful one, however, relying on those impurities of the parents, and from the gathering of causes, the assembling, the arriving, and the manifesting, the abiding in the womb is accomplished. Joyful one, for example, fresh seeds, strong, unbroken, unpierced, uncracked, unrotten, undamaged by wind and sun, are sown in moist and soft soil, or in fertile and good fields, and are well cared for, then from those seeds, by the power of causes and conditions, sprouts, leaves, stems, hearts, flowers, and fruits gradually manifest and are accomplished. Joyful one, those sprouts and so on are not those seeds themselves, and apart from those, without cause and without condition, they would not become sprouts and so on. However, by the gathering of causes and conditions, they become sprouts and so on. Similarly, joyful one, the tender body should not be regarded as the impurity of parents, not from the father's waist, not from the mother's womb, not from that karma, not from that cause, not from that condition, although it is so. Joyful one, however, relying on those impurities of the parents

When the causes are assembled, gathered, possessed, and manifested, the dwelling in the womb will be accomplished. Joyful one, for example, if a person with eyes wants to produce a true fire, he takes a fire crystal jewel, places it facing the sun, and then carefully places dried cow dung powder, he can produce fire. Joyful one, fire exists in those causes. Abandoning those causes, it is impossible for fire to arise without causes and conditions. However, fire arises from the assembly of causes and conditions. Similarly, joyful one, relying on the impurities of the parents, when the causes are assembled, gathered, possessed, and manifested, the dwelling in the womb will be accomplished. Joyful one, the impure, sticky body that arises from the causes of the parents is form. The feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness that arise together with it are name. When this name and the previous form are gathered together, they are categorized as name and form. Joyful one, just like that, name and form are only those things. Joyful one, I do not praise even the smallest existence, nor do I praise even a momentary existence. Why is that? Because existence is suffering. For example, even a small amount of vomit smells bad. Joyful one, similarly, even a small, momentary existence is suffering. Joyful one, Among them, the birth, dwelling, manifestation, and arising of form, as well as the birth, dwelling, manifestation, and arising of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, whatever is birth is suffering. Dwelling is disease. Arising is aging and death. Joyful one, what is there to desire in dwelling in the womb in the mother's belly, with a strong desire for existence? Joyful one, in the first seven days, the severe pain in the womb, dwelling in the impure, rotten, intensely burning mire, all the bodily faculties are suffering, extremely difficult, fearful and frightening, a state of being one with suffering.
