Appearing as an old Shakya man, he sat among the old men, and he first took the wooden piece, the old Shakya man took the wooden piece. Everyone took the wooden piece. Then, a wise man sent word to Arya Deva. Enter! He entered with a fourfold army, and having entered, he said: I will kill all the Shakyas! I will completely abandon all the Shakyas! As soon as he finished speaking, the men with weapons began to slaughter all the Shakyas, and a great clamor arose. Shakya Mingchen, hearing that sound, and with the unease born of love for his relatives, hurried to Arya Deva's dwelling and said to him: Lord! Grant me the appropriate vow! He said: What vow do you seek? Speak! He said: Lord! Grant my relatives fearlessness! Arya Deva said: I will not grant your relatives fearlessness! However, you may take your retinue and leave. He said: Lord! As long as I am submerged in the water, grant fearlessness to those who emerge during that time! He began to look at the faces of the ministers, and they said: Lord! This Mingchen is both your maternal grandmother and your father's friend, so it is fitting to grant him that vow. He said: If that is so, then grant it immediately! Shakya Mingchen, with the unease born of love for his relatives, with a heart moistened by compassion, went to the pool of water, and there was a sala tree by its edge, its branches submerged in the water of the pool, and he tied his hair to the branch and remained submerged until he died. Then, among the Shakyas who lived in Kapilavastu, some of those who had not participated in the collective action came out of Kapilavastu and went to the place of good and bad omens. Some went to Nepal. Some went to villages, towns, the king's territory, and various palaces. Those who had participated in the collective action came out of the east gate of the Kapilavastu site and entered from the south; came out from the south and entered from the west; came out from the west and entered from the north.

Entering the ground. Coming from the north and entering from the east, etc. The ministers said: Oh god! Alas, the Shakya people! Words! Alas, the Shakya people! It is words! Now entering from the east gate and going south, entering from the south and going west, entering from the west and going north, entering from the north and going south! The Holy One said: Knowledgeable ones! The grandfather has been submerged in the water for a long time, look! The ministers hurried to the pool and began to investigate, but by that time he had passed away. They came and said: Oh god! He has passed away! After saying that, he wrapped it all up in a large blanket and said: Knowledgeable ones! Lay out the mats! Until the light of blood does not appear on the road, I will not leave this direction. Killing brave men, and a small amount of blood flows, this is the rule, so the ministers began to discuss with each other. Knowledgeable ones! This sentient being is doing sinful deeds and is firm in his vows, otherwise how could so much blood flow here? Let someone fetch some bricks! After saying that, they fetched bricks and poured hundreds of thousands of bottles of brick water on the road, and the Holy One thought: My vow has been completed, I am leaving! He thought. Then the ignorant Holy One killed seventy-seven thousand Shakya people, most of whom were people who had seen the truth. After killing so many sentient beings, he took five hundred youths and five hundred maidens and went to the other heretics' monasteries, a place called the Land of the Sow. Mara Noda said: Oh god! You have completely protected the enemy, why should these enemies be let go? Kill them! The Holy One handed them over to the executioners and ordered: Let these people be trampled to death by elephants! They began to have the elephants trample on these people, and these people pressed those elephants to the ground and began to hide from one hand to another. Mara Noda said: Oh god! Do you see these people suppressing the other side? I see. Oh god! If these people are let go, will it not cause harm to the gods? Mara Noda, yes, yes.

Similarly, he asked how these people should be killed. Speak! He said: Throw them into the god pit, and from above, rake them down with an iron rake. Let them do it that way! He put those people into the pit and pressed them down from above with an iron rake. Then two of them fled and went before the Blessed One. Having gone, the Blessed One covered those two with his bowl, and they died immediately. When the Shakyas were killed, the Blessed One's head became very painful. Then the foolish Pāsajji spoke to a man: Hey, young man, come here. Go before the Thus Come One and sit down, and listen to what the Blessed One says, and repeat it to me. Having said this, he left. That man went before the Blessed One and sat down. Then the Blessed One said to the venerable Ānanda: Ānanda, give me a bowl of water. He offered the Blessed One a bowl of water. The Blessed One poured two or three drops of water there, and those waters bubbled up inside, making a "tsi ri ri" sound. The monks, seeing that miracle, were filled with faith and asked the Buddha Blessed One: Venerable one, what action did the Blessed One perform, that the ripening of that action caused the Blessed One to have a headache? What evil deeds did the Shakyas living in Serkya do, that they were killed by the foolish Pāsajji without having committed any fault or harm? The Blessed One said: Monks, come here. I will prophesy the cause and effect of their own actions and those of others at the pigsty of the other non-Buddhist wanderers, where the foolish Pāsajji killed the Shakyas. Venerable one, so be it. Those monks listened to the Blessed One. Then the Blessed One, together with many monks, went to the pigsty of the other non-Buddhist wanderers. A Brahmin named Brewo, of the same clan as Rus, saw the Blessed One from afar. Having seen him,
