The place was not reached. After some time, for the sake of a person named 'The Long Son of Conduct,' he went to the Holy One. The Holy One said: 'With the plot to kill King Prasenajit, I will say to the Long Son of Conduct, if I take revenge on the Shakyas living in Kapilavastu, tell me when I will become king.' He said: 'O Lord! Why do you create non-virtue? The old king will soon pass away and become a god. The kingdom will not go to another, but to you.' The Long Son of Conduct said: 'I only said it to you alone as a test. You should not say it to anyone.' 'O Lord! Do I not know? How should I speak to anyone?' Having said this, he left. At that time, the Blessed One was dwelling among the Shakyas, in a village of the Shakyas called Metalu. Then, King Prasenajit of Kosala, riding a fine horse, traveling with the Long Son of Conduct who was driving the chariot, arrived at a city. King Prasenajit of Kosala saw a monastery, a forest edge, a remote dwelling, secluded, separated from sinful people, where one could live alone, suitable for inner contemplation. Having seen this, he again said to the Long Son of Conduct: 'Long Son of Conduct, the Blessed One dwells in such a place: a monastery, a forest edge, a remote dwelling, secluded, separated from sinful people, where one can live alone, suitable for inner contemplation. There, I will occasionally visit the Blessed One. Long One, where does the Blessed One dwell? Have you heard?' 'O Lord! I have heard that the Blessed One dwells among the Shakyas, in a village of the Shakyas called Metalu.' 'Long One, how far is it to the village of the Shakyas called Metalu?' 'O Lord! It is about three leagues away.' He said: 'Long One, drive the chariot to the village of the Shakyas called Metalu.' 'O Lord! As you command.' The Long Son of Conduct, having listened to King Prasenajit of Kosala, drove the chariot to the village of the Shakyas called Metalu.

Then the king rode his mount as far as he could go, then dismounted and entered the monastery on foot. At that time, the Blessed One was dwelling in a large, closed monastery, spending the afternoon there. Many monks were walking back and forth in the open space outside the monastery, without any covering. King Pasenadi of Kosala saw them. Seeing the many monks from afar, King Pasenadi went to where the monks were and said to them: Venerable ones, where does the Blessed One reside? Great king, the Blessed One is dwelling in this large monastery with the doors closed, spending the afternoon there. Great king, if you wish, go to the large monastery with the doors closed, and gently knock on the door, and the Blessed One will open the door. Then King Pasenadi of Kosala took off the five royal insignia: the crest jewel, the umbrella, the sword, the yak-tail fan with the jeweled handle, and the variegated shoes, and gave them to the attendant, and then turned his back. Then the attendant thought: The king has placed the five royal insignia: the crest jewel, the umbrella, the sword, the yak-tail fan with the jeweled handle, and the variegated shoes in my care, and turned his back, it seems that the god intends to do something secret, I should stay here. Then King Pasenadi of Kosala went to the large monastery with the doors closed, and gently knocked on the door, and the Blessed One opened the door. Then King Pasenadi of Kosala went to where the Blessed One was, bowed his head to the Blessed One's feet, rubbed his face and mouth on the Blessed One's feet, and said: Blessed One, it has been a long time since I have seen you. Sugata, it has been a long time since I have seen you. Then the Blessed One said to King Pasenadi of Kosala: Great king, why do you do such a humble thing to the Tathagata? Venerable one, Blessed One, I...

There is faith arising from the Dharma. Therefore, I think to myself: The Blessed One is the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha. Your Dharma and Discipline are well-spoken. The Sangha of Hearers is well-entered. I think so. Great King, what kind of faith arising from the Dharma do you have in me? Venerable Sir, here I see some ascetics and Brahmins who are learned, self-conceited speakers, accustomed to debating with others, and revered by many ordinary people as if they were children. With their own wisdom and courage, they destroy the views of others, the identity of guides. They begin to debate, saying: Let us go to the wise Gautama and ask him these questions. If he does not prophesy, we will refute him. If he prophesies that it is such and such, we will say to him: Gautama, this of yours is not reasonable. This is not similar. This is not appropriate. Having said this, they gathered those debates, but when they came before the Blessed One, they did not even get a chance to speak, let alone speak. Venerable Sir, I have such faith arising from the Dharma in the Blessed One. Therefore, I think to myself: The Blessed One is the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha. Your Dharma and Discipline are well-spoken. The Sangha of Hearers is well-entered. I think so. Venerable Sir, I have other faith arising from the Dharma in the Blessed One. Venerable Sir, here I see some ascetics and Brahmins who are learned, self-conceited, up to "seeing some" etc., it is the same as before. They gathered those debates, and then went to where the Blessed One was, but they did not have the opportunity to present their debates to the Blessed One, but only looked at the face of the Blessed One, thinking about the Blessed One, thinking: Only the Blessed One Gautama knows what should be known, and sees what should be seen. Venerable Sir, this
