A beggar went to a Bhikshuni who had renounced from the Brahmin caste and said this: "Venerable Mother, a certain Bhikshuni says this to you: What is the use of you practicing asceticism and celibacy? Since you have renounced from the Brahmin caste, you should do the work of your own tradition." If she speaks like this and proclaims the matter, it is a Duskrta. Similarly, for one who has renounced from the Kshatriya caste, from "says this" to "Duskrta." Similarly, for one who has renounced from the Vaishya caste, from "says this" to "Patayantika." Similarly, for one who has renounced from the Shudra caste, from "says this" to "Patayantika." Just as explained above, the intermediate section should be stated in detail. Caste, crafts, occupation, marks, and disease are the fifth. Defeat and near afflictions, rebuke is the last. The third Patayantika is complete. The origin of the story is in Shravasti. At that time, after the twelve groups had pacified the dispute, (they said) this dispute was not subdued with a stick, it should be subdued with a stick again. This dispute was not definitely investigated, it should be definitely investigated again. This dispute was not well decided, it should be well decided again. This dispute was not pacified, it should be pacified again. Thus, they repeatedly rebuked. Then, those Bhikshunis fought, exposed each other's faults, and quarreled, and abiding in exposing faults, they abandoned reciting, reading, chanting, yoga, contemplation, and the inner tranquility of the mind. At those times, the Bhikshunis with few desires rebuked (them), and then reported to the Bhagavan. Then, the Bhagavan, from "this happened" to "establishing the precepts." Furthermore, if any Bhikshuni, knowing that the Sangha has unanimously and lawfully settled a dispute, repeatedly rebukes the matter, it is a Patayantika. Furthermore, which Bhikshuni, here "which" refers to the twelve groups. "Knowing" refers to oneself. "Lawfully" refers to according to the Vinaya and the Buddha's teachings. "Dispute" refers to

Furthermore, the four disputes are: disputing for the sake of fighting, disputing for the sake of not choosing, disputing for the sake of falling, and disputing for the sake of affairs. The so-called "practicing according to the Dharma" refers to the act of making requests and the four karmas. If one wants to make an aversion to karma again, it means one wants to do it again. How does this become a downfall? If a Bhikshuni, regarding a dispute for the sake of fighting as a dispute, and regarding what has been purified as purified, and then wants to make an aversion to karma again, she commits a downfall. If a Bhikshuni has doubts about what has been purified, she commits a downfall. If a Bhikshuni regards what has not been purified as purified, and then wants to make an aversion to karma again, she commits a downfall. If she has doubts, she commits a downfall.
