Now, the offenses of expiation will be spoken. The summary in verse: Knowing and with seeds, likewise bearing and, striking with the palm and excessive thought, theft, messenger, and pride. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, resided in the Jeta Grove of Prince Jeta, in the Anāthapiṇḍika's Garden. No. What are the five types of false speech? Without basis, being defeated by others (referring to Pārājika in Bhikṣuṇī Vinaya), Saṃghāvaśeṣa, Prāyascittika, Prātideśanīya, and Duṣkṛta. These are the five types of false speech. What are the four types of false speech? Without basis, moral discipline is lost, views are lost, rituals are lost, and livelihood is lost. These are the four types of false speech. What are the three types of false speech? Without basis, seeing, hearing, and doubting. These are the three types of false speech. Furthermore, there are three types of false speech: When one intends to lie, one thinks, "I will lie"; when speaking, one thinks, "I am lying"; and after lying, one thinks, "I have lied." These are the three types of false speech. What are the two types of false speech? When lying, one thinks, "I am lying"; and after lying, one thinks, "I have lied." These are the two types of false speech. There is no such thing as only one type of false speech. Among false speech, there are those that lead to Pārājika, those that lead to Saṃghāvaśeṣa, those that lead to Sthūlātyaya, those that lead to Prāyascittika, and those that lead to Duṣkṛta. What is false speech that leads to Pārājika? For example, a Bhikṣuṇī claims to have superior human qualities that she does not possess; this is false speech that leads to Pārājika. What is false speech that leads to Saṃghāvaśeṣa? For example, a Bhikṣuṇī groundlessly accuses a pure Bhikṣuṇī of a Pārājika offense; this is false speech that leads to Saṃghāvaśeṣa. What is false speech that leads to Sthūlātyaya? For example, a Bhikṣuṇī intentionally declares what is not Dharma as Dharma, what is Dharma as not Dharma, what is not Vinaya as Vinaya, and what is Vinaya as not Vinaya in the Saṃgha; this is false speech that leads to Sthūlātyaya.
