Do not be as fickle as the earth. Other female novices and nuns, regarding the permission to sleep in one place from dusk until dawn, you are not allowed to do that from now on. You should say to the nuns: Female novices, leave here! Furthermore, if any nun knowingly allows an expelled female novice to stay, or shows her the way, or allows her to enjoy freely, or sleeps together in one place, she will commit an offense. The meaning of female novice is beauty and queen. The meaning of nuns is these who believe in the Dharma. If it is said, "Saying like this," it means to speak. Regarding what the Blessed One said, "Desires are obstacles," even if serving separately, it will not become an obstacle. That is how we understand the Dharma taught by the Blessed One, even if indulging excessively, it will not become an obstacle to practice. The so-called "to them" refers to the female novice, beauty, and queen. The so-called "nuns" refers to these who believe in the Dharma. The so-called "to say like this" is to admonish with rebuke and instruction as before. To correctly instruct is like that, to correctly admonish is like that. After instructing them both in this way, if they abandon that root, that would be good. If they do not abandon it, then perform the karma of expulsion, which should be done as before. Furthermore, the so-called "which nun" refers to the coarse joyful woman. The so-called "knowingly" refers to what oneself or others have said. The so-called "expelled like this" refers to having performed the karma of expulsion. The so-called "female novice" refers to beauty and queen. The so-called "let her stay" refers to giving lodging. The so-called "show her the way" refers to giving inquiry. The so-called "let her enjoy freely" refers to making the offerings one's own. The so-called "let her stay continuously, sleeping together in one place," until "commits an offense," is all the same as before. If asked, how would one commit an offense in that way? As long as the nun knows even a little, she allows the female novice who has been expelled like this to stay, or shows her the way.
