And so on. (Translator's note: This refers to the previous content and will not be repeated.) At the Blessed One Buddha's place, the Venerable Ananda asked: What is the boundary for a Bhikkhuni after entering (the Sangha)? One span when walking, one span when standing, and one span when sitting, is the surrounding boundary. Venerable, if the Bhikkhunis enter (the Sangha) and live together, and entrust the robes to the attendants, and then leave, what is their boundary? The Blessed One said: I once said that in the fields where Brahmins plant rice, mango trees are planted every seven "འདོས་" (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: Unknown, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown) apart. Those mango trees will bloom with very abundant flowers, bear very plentiful fruits, and grow very lush branches. The distance between those mango trees is forty-nine spans. Venerable, if one temporarily rests at the boundary between two monasteries, where is the boundary? As long as the edge of the robe has not left the body, it will not be separated from the robe. When the edge of the robe leaves the body, it is separated from the robe, and the Bhikkhuni's robe is abandoned. Starting from "not abandoned", it should be stated as it was in the beginning. The second Parajika of abandonment is completed. The origin of the story is in Shravasti. At that time, the Bhikkhunis received a lot of cloth. If someone received a piece of blue cloth, they would not allow others to use it, but hoped that when they received such cloth, they could take it to cut it. They stored the cloth in this way. Yellow, red, dark, and light-colored cloths should also be treated like blue cloth. At that time, the Bhikkhunis told the Bhikkhus about this, and the Bhikkhus reported it to the Blessed One. After that, the Blessed One, from the occurrence of this event until the establishment of the precepts, (the Blessed One said) after the Bhikkhuni sews the robe, takes out the hard warp thread, if she wants to get cloth at an inappropriate time, the Bhikkhuni should take that cloth. After taking it, if it needs to be sewn, it should be sewn and held as soon as possible. If there is expectation for the Bhikkhuni's robe, or if it is not finished sewing and needs to be supplemented.
