What difference does it make if they also wear heavy and precious clothes? What are they thinking? What is different? They will be scolded, ridiculed, and gossiped about. At that time, the bhikshunis spoke to the bhikshus, and the bhikshus reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, starting from "this happened," the Buddha Blessed One was displeased with Tshug ga' mo, saying, "Bhikshuni, is it true that you have done such an unseemly thing?" The Blessed One replied, "Yes, yes." The Buddha Blessed One said to Tshug ga' mo, "It is not in accordance with the conduct of a shramanerika, it is not appropriate, it is not seemly, this is not something that a renunciant should do." Thus, he scolded her. Then, after scolding her in various ways, the Blessed One commanded both sanghas, "Bhikshus, women are like food, even if they do not have good clothes for a while, they are acceptable, but if they wear good clothes, what need is there to mention it?" The Blessed One thought, "All the faults that have occurred are caused by wearing heavy and precious clothes." Then the Blessed One commanded, "Furthermore, any bhikshuni who wears heavy and precious clothes commits a nisyaya-patayantika offense." "Furthermore, any bhikshuni" refers to Tshug ga' mo. "Heavy" refers to winter clothes. "Precious" refers to a value of twenty or twenty-five karshapanas. "Wearing" refers to putting on. "Nisyaya-patayantika offense" refers to the same as before. So, how does one commit a patayantika offense? As long as a bhikshuni wears slightly heavy and precious clothes, she will completely commit a nisyaya-patayantika offense. The thirty-second nisyaya-patayantika offense is complete. The origin of the story is in Shravasti (mnyan yod na'o). At that time, the king of the country of Kalinga sent a precious lion skin cloth as a gift to King Light (gsal rgyal), who gave it to the impoverished royal soldiers. Those soldiers also said, "Dharma-dana (chos sbyin) is our virtuous friend." and gave it to him. He accepted it and hung it on the robe rack. When Tshug ga' mo entered the residence, she saw it and said, "Holy Mother, whose is this lion skin cloth?

The venerable one said, "It is mine." Then, the nun Ṭsukdakmo said to the Dharma-giver, "You are worshiped by gods and humans for doing good deeds, and you have such a wonderful spring offering." He said, "If you want it, take it." Then she said, "I don't need the defeat of the gods." Then, the Dharma-giver's lion-skin cloth was given to Ṭsukdakmo. When she wore it and walked in the street, her body covering appeared to be naked. Then, the Brahmins and householders saw Ṭsukdakmo coming from afar and said, "Who is the father? Is it a rich man? Is it a merchant? Or has the daughter of a captain come?" Others said, "It is the bhikkhuni Ṭsukdakmo." They looked at her and said, "Like this, wearing a lion-skin cloth is not beautiful for bhikkhunis." They condemned, blamed, and reviled. When those bhikkhunis with few desires were condemned, the bhikkhunis told the bhikkhus in detail, and the bhikkhus reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, in order to make my female disciples understand this event, this topic, this occasion, and that the precepts I have established may be perfected, convened both sanghas. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, act knowingly, not unknowingly, they act knowingly, from "Bhikkhuni, is it true that you have done such an unseemly thing?" to the end. Venerable one, yes. The Buddha's twenty-fifth (matter). The offense of expiation involving relinquishment is as stated above. So, how does an offense occur? If a bhikkhuni wears a lion-skin cloth, it constitutes an offense of expiation involving relinquishment. Wearing various colored cloths, or wearing thin cloths, all constitute offenses of expiation involving relinquishment. For beginners, etc., there is no offense. The thirty-third offense of expiation involving relinquishment is complete. In the Bhikkhuni Vinaya Vibhanga, the offenses of expiation involving relinquishment are all complete.
