When they were doing something, and when the nuns were scolding those nuns who had few desires, the nuns reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, starting from "This happened," made it up to the establishment of the precepts. Furthermore, if any nun takes gold and silver with her own hand, or instructs others to take it, she commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. Again, "any nun" is the same as before. "Her own hand" means herself. "Gold and silver" means wealth and gold. "To take" means to take it herself. "To instruct to take" means to have someone else take it. "Commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya" is the same as before. So, how does one commit a transgression? Through eighteen situations, namely, "Take this!" "Take it from here!" "Take this much!" and so on; "Bring this!" "Bring it from here!" "Bring this much!" and so on; "Put this!" "Put it here!" "Put this much!" and so on; "Take that!" "Take it from there!" "Take that much!" and so on; "Bring that!" "Bring it from there!" "Bring that much!" and so on; "Put that!" "Put it there!" "Put that much!" and so on. "Take this!" refers to wealth or gold. "Take it from here!" means from iron and copper, or from pottery, or from copper, or from an outer village, or from Zamatok. "Take this much!" means one hundred or one thousand, whichever the case may be. If one tells a monk, "Take this!" one commits a Dukkata. If one takes it, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. "Take this!" "Take it from here!" "Take this much!" and so on, until in any place where it cannot be obtained, or where there is no novice nun, if one says, "Take this!" one commits a Dukkata. If one takes it, one also commits a Dukkata. In short, relying on the householder of Tsampa area, the Blessed One said: "It should be accepted, it should be kept by another friend." The keeping should be done like this: Holy Mother, please listen, I am called so-and-so, and I have received irregular Karshapanas, I, called so-and-so, make it regular for the sake of the patron or the patron's steward called so-and-so, and keep it for that reason alone.

O! When the unpermitted is accomplished by this permitted, I have permitted it. From "I have permitted it" onwards, it should be upheld. The tenth Saṃghāṭiseṣa is completed. The basis of the story is in Śrāvastī. When the Blessed One, relying on the group of six, established the basis of training for various behaviors of those who make a display, then again, the group of twelve, at that time, when those who make a display were engaging in various behaviors, those nuns with few desires were criticizing them. They reported to the Blessed One, and then the Blessed One, from "This happened" onwards, made it up to the establishment of the training. Again, any nun who engages in various behaviors by making a display, it is a Saṃghāṭiseṣa. Again, any nun What is called "any" is the same as before. "Various" is called many kinds. "Making a display" is called brass or gold. "Engaging" is called especially engaging. "Saṃghāṭiseṣa" is called as above. So, how does one fall into offense? There are four ways: jointly combining, extremely combining, lending, and lending with interest. Among them, jointly combining is: for the sake of local gain, jointly combining goods, jointly combining vehicles, gathering people, and then saying, "This thing is yours, this is mine," as long as the gain is not taken as one's own, it is a misdeed. If the gain is taken as one's own, it is a Saṃghāṭiseṣa. Such is jointly combining. How to extremely combine? For the sake of increasing from ten to eleven with the gain of gold, extremely combining goods, and going to find mustard, ink, or a guarantor for the sake of security. As long as the gain is not taken as one's own, it is a misdeed. If it is taken as one's own, it is a Saṃghāṭiseṣa. Such is extremely combining. How to lend? For the sake of newly harvested barley and wheat, lending with measuring vessels, taking interest on wheat and barley. There, with those measuring vessels and bushels

and tips, gifts, and measurements, going for improper purposes, if they have not yet obtained it, they take possession of it, they commit a minor offense. If they take possession of it, they commit a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. This is like lending money. How do they lend with interest? They lend with the interest of pearls, they lend with the interest of gold. There, they go for grains, ink, and witnesses, if they have not yet obtained it, they take possession of it, they commit a minor offense. If they take possession of it, they commit a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. This is like lending with interest. Like this, for the established basis of training, and the inexhaustible things of the stupa, of the sangha, if they are not well utilized, the Blessed One taught: They should be well utilized. If they give these things away to just anyone, the Blessed One taught: Do not give wealth to the miserly, nor to remote places, nor to the cruel, the evil-doers, nor ever to the powerful. The eleventh Nissaggiya Pacittiya ends. The origin of the story is in Sravasti. At that time, the group of six monks engaged in various kinds of trade, namely, acquiring, giving, buying, and selling. How do they acquire? When something is scarce in Sravasti and abundant in other places, they acquire it from other places and bring it to Sravasti, this is acquiring. How do they give? When Sravasti has a good harvest and other places have a bad harvest, they acquire it from Sravasti and send it to other places, this is giving. How do they buy? When something is abundant, they buy it, this is buying. How do they sell? When something is scarce, they sell it, this is selling. While engaging in trade, the nuns who had little merit scolded them. The nuns told the monks about this, and the monks reported it to the Blessed One. Then
