Should desire harmony. The Sangha is harmonious and undivided, always joyful and without contention, with one mind and one purpose, like water and milk blended together. If the Teacher's doctrine is made clear, one will abide in ease. O nuns, abandon such actions as siding with those who divide the Sangha and speak discordantly! If the nuns are thus instructed, and they comply from "insisting on the basis" to "the others are false." At that time, the nuns will speak to the monks, and the monks will petition the Blessed One, and the Blessed One will say: O nuns, those who are your friends, and others of similar nature, should be instructed with entreaty and the four karmas. The instruction should also be done in this way: from "the dwelling has been prepared" to "one nun petitions and performs the karma." O noble Sangha of nuns, listen to me. Having taken up a dispute, knowingly that they hold and abide in the dispute, do not be their friends, do not follow those who speak discord.
