The meaning of "I do" is the same as before. How does one incur a downfall in this? There are four ways: jointly managing, doubling the management, lending, and lending with interest. Among these, jointly managing refers to: jointly managing goods for the sake of local gains, jointly managing vehicles, gathering people, and then saying, "This item is yours, this is mine." As long as the gains are not taken as one's own, one commits a misdeed. If the gains are taken as one's own, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. That is jointly managing. How does one double the management? To double the management of goods in order to increase one out of ten to eleven with the gains from gold, and to go there to seek scribes, ink, or witnesses for the sake of collateral. As long as the gains are not taken as one's own, one commits a misdeed. If taken as one's own, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. That is doubling the management. How does one lend? For the sake of newly harvested barley and wheat, lending with measuring containers, sending out barley and wheat for interest. For this, they go to seek measuring containers, small bushels, handfuls, measurements, and people. As long as the gains are not taken as one's own, one commits a misdeed. If taken as one's own, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. That is lending. How does one lend with interest? They lend with interest using the interest from pearls, and lend with interest using the interest from gold. For this, they go to seek scribes, ink, and witnesses. As long as the gains are not taken as one's own, one commits a misdeed. If taken as one's own, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. That is lending with interest. Thus, for the established precepts, and the inexhaustible property of stupas and the Sangha, do not double the management. The Bhagavan taught: It should be doubled. Those who give away property to anyone at random cause the property to be scattered. The Bhagavan taught: Do not give wealth even to the miserly.

Not in remote places, nor to violent and sinful people, nor to powerful ones. The eleventh pācittiya of expiation is complete. The story takes place in Shravasti. At that time, the group of six monks engaged in various kinds of trade, taking, giving, buying, and selling. How did they take? When Shravasti was scarce and other regions were abundant, they would take from those regions and bring it to Shravasti; that is how they took. How did they give? When Shravasti had a good harvest and other regions had a bad harvest, they would take from Shravasti and send it to those regions; that is how they gave. How did they buy? When things were abundant, they would buy; that is how they bought. How did they sell? When things were scarce, they would sell; that is how they sold. When they were buying and selling, some nuns with few precepts would scold them. The nuns told the monks about this, and the monks reported it to the Blessed One. Then the Blessed One said, "How will this come about? If one buys desiring gain and sells desiring gain, then in buying, one commits a misdeed; in selling, one commits a pācittiya of expiation. If one buys desiring gain but sells not desiring gain, then in buying, one commits a misdeed; in selling, there is no offense. If one buys not desiring gain but sells desiring gain, then in buying, there is no offense; in selling, one commits a pācittiya of expiation. If one buys not desiring gain and sells not desiring gain, then there is no offense in either. One should purify the previous karma with the circumstances of another place." Then there was leftover food in the Sangha, and donors came wanting to mix the food, but they could not find goods, food, and drink. The Blessed One instructed, "Give as you bought it." If it is a joyful rotation, then buy.

Land became scarce. Sometimes, when joy was scarce, they bought and became numerous. Then, the Blessed One said: "It should be given according to the value of the trading time." The summary of the first verse of abandonment and expiation is completed. Summary: Bowl, thread outside, taking back, similarly, stitching, obtaining, medicine, and overnight, exchanging, sometimes and untimely. The setting is in Shravasti. At that time, the Blessed One, relying on the group of six, established the basis of training for not using seamless bowls. The group of twelve nuns also held seamless bowls, and also held seamless and unpatched bowls. Then, the nuns who were abiding in their nature said to those groups of twelve nuns: "Sisters, hasn't the Blessed One established a basis for training?" Then, those groups of twelve nuns said to those nuns: "The basis of training is for the monks, not for the nuns." At that time, the nuns reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, from "this happened" up to "establishing the training," did everything. Furthermore, if any nun does not have a bowl with five patches, and although there is one that can be used, she abandons the old bowl and begs for a new one because she wants a good one, if the bowl is completed, it is an abandonment and expiation. That nun should give that bowl to the community of nuns. Whatever is the lowest bowl in that community of nuns, that bowl should be given to that nun, saying: "Nun, you should not bless this bowl, do not abandon it, do not give it to others, but use it slowly, slowly, until the end of its breakage." Thus it should be given, and that is the ritual. Again, whichever nun, is like before. A bowl without five patches means a bowl that does not have five patches complete. "Although there is" means that it can be used. "Begging for a new bowl" means the second one. "Because she wants a good one" means because she wants the community, or wants others. "If it is completed" means
